Hi, Tulla. I feel so sorry for what you had to go through during COVID. You were robbed. I'm a Stanford alum from an earlier era and loved my time there. I lived in Roble my sophomore year and had an absolute blast. The dorm was so full of life when I was there. It's awful what Stanford put you through with its neurotic and dubious COVID precautions. I hope you were able to make up for some lost time during your junior and senior years. After you graduate, do try to take advantage of Stanford's awesome alumni association. It can become one of the best aspects of your Stanford experience.
Hi!! I know this video was posted long ago however would these tips work for a sophomore? I was so unprepared for the beginning of my freshmen year and its about to end soon and i feel like I couldve done so much more! I also moved states so it made it a lot worse!! How many ap classes should i take sophomore year? Im only being allowed to take 1 however i can pull some strings to take some online im pretty sure! Im gonna be taking apush in my sophomore year, is that good?

SPIV = Self-Presentation and Intellectual Vitality. That can be a tough one to prepare for. For the self-presentation part, I was coached beforehand by a professional taxidermist. I think I might have overdone it though, since although the poses during the interview were OK, it might have cost me some points on the vitality part.
Your application can either land in the hands of an Admissions officer that loves you and vouches for you even though you may not have the perfect number as most.....OR....you fill all the necessary blanks and even cured cancer but they don't care for you and toss your app
i'm soo scared that my shitty highschool is going to ruin my chances of getting into ivy league. my decision is to go to columbia but i realize i barely did shit this entire year bc i never had the chance to. i'm only in 10th grade tho, so hopefully i have more opportunities later, i'm still scared 😭😭
hey! i need some advice. so, Im in 8th grade and am currently picking my highschool classes. I'm taking every other class honors, however I'm not so sure in math. I'm taking algebra 1 right now and the high school options for me is Algebra 2 and Honors Algebra 2. I have an 87 in my first marking period for math and an 89 in the second marking period. To take honors I need at least a 90. So, since I am not taking honors Algebra 2, will that affect my chances of getting into Penn State eventually? I know I sound crazy considering i'm only in 8th grade but I've always wanted to go to Penn State since I was little and I worry that this may affect my chances.

Only caught the first 5 min. Seemed unusual that you hit the faith based thing twice as a reason for attending. Are you faith based but a different religion? Maybe the answer becomes obvious in the later part of this video. My last Sunday as a Catholic/Christian/Theist was my first Sunday at Notre Dame. Kind of ironic. Religion wasn't pushed at all when I went there. You barely knew it existed.
Freshman year is not that really good but it is a year you would want to pay close attention too because if you guys mess up in freshman year it will hurt and affect you guys through out the remainder of your years am gonna be a junior in forty seven days and just one more years for high school and then am done going on to study aeronautical engineering.
heyyy i dont think you're gonna see this but um im applying to columbia early decision i have a 1550 on the sat rank 1 in my grade of 250 students and i got a 5 on the 5 APs i self studied for (im an international student from india btw) i was kinda confused if i should give the sat again or not? yk try to get a higher score? do you think a 1580 or something would imrpove my chances or is a 1550 alright? thanks love your videos btw very helpful

I am a year ahead in math (i am in 8th grade in algebra 1) and i have the option to go to algebra 2 or geometry next year. Algebra 2 seems like a big jump, but i want to look good for college to skip geometry and go to algebra 2. I just don’t think it is smart because geometry is an essential class. I could just do both classes the same year (doubling up on math) but i don’t want to be too stressed out + i don’t want to cut any of my classes. What do you suggest? :) thanks ❤
I am a year ahead in math too. My friend is jumping to algebra 2 and taking geometry. I had that option too,but I didn’t want to stress myself out a lot. I would say it is totally up to you. I am taking all honors other then US history. My friend is taking all honors, but I am scared I may burn myself out. I would say it is totally up to you and what you are comfortable with.
Duke ending DukeTip is absolutely CRIMINAL. I did the program the summer before 8th grade (before the pandemic hit and they ended it the summer before 9th grade). The program was absolutely amazing.
