Just completed this project today! Thank you for this video! We followed along and had zero issues! Took around 45 min start to finish bc the clips were difficult to undo at first. Back up camera works fine! We lived with that devil screen for over a year! Never again! 😂🎉
UPDATE: I DID IT! Thats the first time I have ever done anything like this, i always thought myself to be a bit lacking in technical skills with vehicles and audio systems, but your video helped GREATLY, and helped give a complete newb confidence to do it! One thing Id like to let users in UK and possibly EU all together the radio system is the same HOWEVER the build is different, therefore, ONLY the vents and casing on front will come off when you pry it off, the radio will be screwed into a mount that is actually built into the dash itself, but the only difference is that once you unscrew the hex bolts loose, the radio itself will come out so there will be no need for needlenose plyers as the radio is not attached to the vents and faceplates. Other than that it was exactly as you stated every step, you guys are a huge help and thank you for giving me the confidence to do this myself, saved me almost 1000 off quotes I was given online from Fiat/Jeep dealerships!
Thank you for this video, I will be attempting this myself in a few days, I got the screen and goo gone but I am waiting for the radio pry bar (plastic) to get here as this is going to be my first time ever doing anything like this :) but the video made it look pretty straight forward so thank you!
Great video...looks fairly simple...I live in Canada and need to replace the LCD, I have a 2018 Jeep Compass Limited (radio # 683 32 802 AF) and needs to be a UCQ instead of the UAQ...do you still think it will work? Thanks!
I see nobody responded to your question, for those in the USA, the screen can be purchased on the link in the video description, for those in Europe or UK, just copy and paste the item description from USA Amazon into Amazon UK or EU and it will give you more local results, or you can buy off American amazon as well just keep in mind you may have to pay import tax depending on your location if its coming from USA.
Oh it completely flew over my head when I was younger that he's stating he wouldn't have married her if he'd known about her bad credit score beforehand. That's kinda cold ngl hahaha
Etch primer on bare steel = good idea. Covering the bare primer (no topcoat) in rubberized undercoating = BAD idea. Rubberized = rubber dissolved in acid, suspended in emulsifier. You've now etched your etched primer and sealed it in rubber. RUST CITY.
I found an aluminum handle on eBay..... just didn't wanna spend the money for it. This after market plastic handle seems to be working better than the OEM. We'll see :)
I have two identical Broan-Nutone fans in my two bathrooms. In one install, the flapper is horizontal (like in your video), and in the other it is vertical. The vertical one flaps open and closed when I turn on the fan, thereby reducing the effectiveness of the fan. The horizontal flapper doesn't have this symptom. Can one rotate the flapper so that it is horizontal?
Thank you for your directions. As a victim of the delaminated screen, I can attest to its demon like behaviour. If you want to create a very entertaining reality tv show, put cameras in a delaminated screen users vehicle. I can confirm that the interaction between the user and the screen is far more entertaining than 90% of the current shows running today.
I love how you made a 12 minute video manage to be useless by not showing how to actually get the wire out of the old mount and into the new mount. There is no way to do either without manipulating the cable to have extra length in it from the other side inside the engine bay by the T junction. That’s why you opened the hood to pretend to talk about greasing the hood latches that do have to be greased but that isn’t why you popped the hood. Douchey move
Thanks for the video, my wife has a 2019 compass that has the smaller screen I believe, I purchased the screen on eBay, I hope the install will be the same, I have all the tools I’m just worried about messing up her dash with the pry tool. But it has to be done, dealer says radio has to be replaced with a price tag of around $1300.
Did anyone find that this screen issue was draining their battery? We replaced both the reg battery and aux battery after numerous times of it dying and still it seems there is something draining the brand new batteries quickly. Now thinking it’s the screen with the delaminated issue constantly pressing buttons on its own. We can’t even turn off the screen as it turns back on its self.
Also Tina kept aging up Neicy's kids. They are 11, 16 and 19 she kept saying teens are hard etc her eldest child is a year older than Neicy's youngest. So they probably have a ton in common.
I’m glad that I ran across your video I’m getting ready to install my Altman latches on my 1950 3100. I see that Dave eliminated the trim from around his door glass, did he have to change the felt and how is glass held on the window mechanism?
Using water outlet to shoot and flush the drain from outside in or inside out . Get some ( Pipe to horse or hose to pipe) adapters and rubber coupler from Homedepot . Lifetime guarantee.
Just got into powdercoating myself. I bought a $75 eletric oven which I run off my 9.4kW generator as the oven plug is not your usual home outlet. Also gives me the space to do multiple calipers and even rims. Makes me wonder why you spent $200+ for that smoker?
I am going to try this tomorrow to silence the ghost in my kid's bathroom!!!!!! Hopefully this resolves their fears of using the bathroom especially at night ❤ it legit sounds like knocking.
