Folgers, a subsidiary of Procter & Gamble at the time, started selling it in 1975 and stopped selling it in 1993. It initially had strong sales, but it was never able to unseat the number one decaffeinated coffee at the time, Sanka, owned by Kraft Foods (now called Kraft Heinz). Folgers (now owned by the J.M. Smucker Co.) continues to sell decaffeinated coffee under its own brand name. Procter & Gamble still owns the rights to High Point Coffee, even though they no longer sell it.
