Hello. Sorry I couldn't drop in on the livestream. I got preoccupied with my own run at P03 in Kaycee's Mod. 13th run building up to scarlet skull. Anyways, regarding the Angler's achievement, you have to use your hook to take back a card the angler first takes away from you. I had an interesting idea for a challenge. What if you had to restrict your deck build to the cost and tribe of the cards shown in Leshy's picture? Could you win or not? What I mean is if you looked at Leshy's picture, you would only get 2 blood cost, bone cost, deer types, and reptile types. You would not be able to play the skunk or flying ant b/c they don't meet the criteria. Send them to the fireplace or sigil transfer. You would also need to be particular with when you buy pelts. There's no achievement to doing this, just something I've been thinking about when I decide to go bacck to OG Kaycee's mod.
Hey, more monk playthghroughs! Nice! Haven't seen your survivor play yet, so not sure if you hit all the default plots points first run or not, except you said Echos. Not sure how much you are okay with/avoiding spoilers and tips, but if you are cool with them, Monk is, map and plotline, yellow survivor. He does have different mechanics most people don't know about. You already found the gate one yourself! What I consider the next most important would be hinted at by his description in the title screen, regarding empathy. Really Monk and Saint should have their names switched since "If your enemy is hungry, give him something to eat" is more of a saints/Jesus teaching but hey fine that's fine just make that something Monk does better that's fine devs XD Monk also has debuffs in combat and a bit for exploration, but mobs are easier to escape and avoid
My survivor playthrough was a 100% playthrough that was achievable at the moment. I got almost every achievement and did get all passages available pre-gourmand. I have not spoiled myself on any stories for the other slugcats, I just doing pilgrim route for it instead and went to 5 pebbles before seeing any of the echoes. Hence why I'm trying to do that now because you need a fresh run to get pilgrim and an achievement i won't be happy about. As per mechanics, I'd like to figure most of them out myself, with the only thing is hints at what is achievable would be appreciated occasionally. I would never have figured out sliding or rolling in survivors playthrough without it. As such, while I know that monk should be "more peaceful" i don't really fully know what that means lol. Also, if your complaining about the 2nd starter deck as being difficult, ooh boy. You have not known frustration yet until you get the 5th and 8th starter deck revealed.
The lesson in this video is to never go to a boss battle without items. You had a chance to stock up before meeting the trapper, and you don't have a pack rat. Also, if you we're committed to deer deck, why not take the daus? With the spiky tail sigil, the chimes would be spiked also. Good defensive tactic.
Daus has always been a card I've seen as clutter, however, it is a good point that the card with certain sigils is good. also yeah that was dumb on me to just get rid of items
I would love to eventually, but stardew is a game i enjoy with my friends and is hard to get together for. it'd be most likely a stream thing if i were too
Cool video! Quick tip, this game has a rule called the Fair Hand rule, which makes it so at the start of each fight, you're guranteed to draw a 1 blood card along with the squirrel you get in the start of the fight. You can remove the mole from this starting deck, which gurantees you start off with the black goat and guarantee being able to use 3 cost cards turn one.
Cmantix has been playing off stream. He's at challenge level 5, so yeah. No race here. I don't shame save scumming even if you are at the final boss fight. I think this is the 2nd time you took the L on the final boss fight. I'll tell you this. The angler's hook doesn't take anything that moves across the board. Unkillable skink is the fastest hand you can earn from the story you can utilize until you get bees and roach. Another combo is roach and Warren and of course any free card.
High blood deck is actually a pretty good card deck if combined with unkillable sigil. The mole man with red ayes is ijiraq, it 4 ~ 1 card with repulsive sigil which mean no card can attack it including the moon, the only way to kill it is sacrifice, hedgehog sigil, or traper card. Its can also cheese the moon When in deck ijiraq will disguise it's self with random card in your deck, which mean it cannot be used in camp fire event, sigil event, duplicate event, mushroom event, and bone lord event. The quirk of its disguise can be used to use campfire event to pelt granting it attack, or health.
Hello Dat Boi. I've finished all the challenge levels of Kaycee's mod and I'd like to give you advice to help your gameplay: 1) Before you trade in your first pelts, step away from the table and look at the picture in Leshy's cabin. Solve that puzzle 3 times to get new items 2) Get into the habit of looking at the scales before you make your move. Compare what damage you will give vs. damage you will receive. 3) If you feel you will lose a battle, get back to the start screen and click continue run. Don't be ashamed of scum saving. This gives you a chance to experiment with different strategies.
