Nope, no sound at all, he makes a sound even when touching the middle finger on the palm, mine is like it's hitting cotton, I must have a "no snapping constitution" or something...

A question and concern I’ve been having. How low can you bend a note on the alto saxophone? Can you bend up to a semitone or more? When I try to bend a semitone, the toner just shows I flattened the note, not necessarily bent to the lower semitone. Please help me out. Thanks.

I recognie my bad habbits😮. I have a mouthpiece link 8. I think my reeds are to hard and I have not enough air, to play singe tones till the end even my tonging seems quite o.k. If the reed is too weak, my intonation becomes horrible. I still try to improve my ugly sound. Its now easier with my Meyer 5 and selected reeds of 2.5. Thank you for your video.Recognition is the first step of improvement.👍👍💪

After more than 2 decades, 6 months ago I moved away from wooden reeds to Legere Signature. What can I say? Wow! The reed responds well in all registers, it matches my sound perception and one reed is as good as the next. So I am thrilled.

Thank you so much for this! I’ve been playing sax for ~5 years now and I was just never really taught the importance of scales. As I’m going through to relearn the basics, this video helped me out so much. Thank you!!!

Thanks Paul, a very helpful video. I find it all to easy to waste my practice time by not following a specific plan. I think I have the practice time and duration under control but I really need to work on the content. Thanks again.

I really got a lot out of this and in particular the reduced tempo breakdown with explanation of keys and techniques to fine tune the articulation.
