Little reminder for anyone flying , once you go into the clouds you usually get turbulence, but once the plane gets over the clouds most times the turbulence stops
I try to put my headphones on and relax....until the announcement keeps cutting in to say "return to your seats, and put your seatbelts on,we are experiencing dome turbulance"...and then all the flight attendants dissapear!!!!😮 Thats the point i start crapping myself. Im ok until then
The chances of dying in your sleep are significantly higher than dying in an airplane crash. Statistically, the probability of dying in your sleep is much greater, estimated at around 1 in 1,000 annually, while the chance of dying in a plane crash is extremely rare, about 1 in 11 million flights. Conclusion: don't sleep during your flight.
I'd rather experience turbulence in a car, on a dirt bumpy road than on a plane, at night, over the mountain tops in a thunderstorm AND hit by lightning. True Story, Italy to Germany short flight.....screaming people makes it worse, especially those continuously crying babies haha
My uncle flew during the Vietnam War. He would probably, said the same thing .Rip im a military brat. I dont like to fly anymore. The flight i took was 2016. It scare me so bad. I refuse to fly home. So i ended up take a 12 hour bus ride back home.
Turbulence, however heavy, is extremely rarely an issue. Of course it can feel uncomfortable but as long as the airplane don't bank like 60 degrees, as well as lose significant engine thrust, there is absolutely nothing to worry about.
Climate change will only make it worse. I took off from Dallas like 8 year ago and it was 30 minutes of hell. The worst take off Turbulance ever. People were drinking, praying, crying, and some knocked out and sleeping lmao! That is now my threshold and it really scared me for a while. I would get so nervous when it’s cloudy at the airports. Still do but I am much better and can even fly alone now.
Para que mierd@s despegan aviones cuando llueve duro y para que vuelan de noche, luego están llorando, pero como solo les interesa la plata a los dueños de Boeing, Airbus y las aerolíneas.. No vuelen de noche ni lloviendo.. AA 965 / AF 447
Everybody should take turbulences serious. LH469 from Austin to Frankfurt some months ago had heavy turbulences. It was chaos and 7 people got injured. This is not Microsoft Flight Simulator.
I had a very rough experience with turbulence way back in 2002 or 2003. I was flying between Stockholm and Gothenburg in Sweden so almost an hour flight. Everything was going pretty smooth up until the landing in Gothenburg. I don't think it was a storm that day because when we landed it was pretty ok weather. But on the way to land it started to shake a lot and much turbulence was going on. I remember being very uneasy and the whole experience was very scary - at least for me, because I was about 13 or 14 years old by the time. Anyway we made it down safely and alive lol but that experience was probably the most intense in my life up until then and I stopped flying for nearly 20 years! That was up until 2021 when I finally decided to meet that fear again!
before this video here I was watching an explanation from an American Airline pilot (posted by WSJ). He explained the 4 major turbulence causes and wake turbulence is one of them. Here, if you land too closely after another plane, you get into the air stream wake coming from the plane's wings in front of your plane. Like a wake of a big boat in water, they get bigger with distance, so the following plane can experience shaking. The pilot also said that they are easily avoidable by deviating +/- 50 feet.
I took a flight from London to Alicante and halfway through the flight the plane just dropped out of the sky literally people screaming they just served hot drinks people got scolded and you do you pray you think this is my last day this is how it ends I couldn’t even return on the flight I had to find other means car train I did try and get on a plane after that few years later but we had technical issues before takeoff and we were delayed and I had the fear of God inside me again so I had to get off the plane and get my luggage and again find out the means to get to my destination
Would you be okay with me featuring this in an episode of Airplane Flight Compilations? Of course you will be credited both in the video and in the description.
Great catch! Would you be okay with me featuring this in an episode of Weekly Dose of Aviation? Of course you will be credited both in the video and in the description.
First, the three categories is light, moderate and Severe. Obviously your referring to Severe but that does NOT seem to be severe as severe is loss of control of the aircraft even for a few seconds. Also, items NOT secured go flying in Severe, In fact, so seldom that most pilots ONLY encounter severe once or twice in whole career. Still good moderate at the end.
This kind of stuff is only going to get worse and worse because of the violence in the weather patterns and systems caused by Massive acceleration of the depletion of our ozone layer. And of course the more bad earthquakes around the globe, that causes the Earth to wobble slightly an inch or two off of its access, causing more violent weather Aloft. The stuff's going to get worse and worse as the years go by
I was six and flying from Liberia to London and let me just say it was one of the most scary flights I’ve been in in my life and though I’m young I have been on many.So mid flight, the plane just started flying nose down it was like that for 5 seconds, then in just shot right back up and a women even shouted”MY KIDS” and my mum was screaaaaming
Once I was flying from Malta to Bournemouth in a Ryanair (typical) and like one hour after we took of we had some insane turbulence and I was young so I started crying and panicked for the whole flight but yeah I flew 3 times after that and it’s fine all on Ryanair so I guess I a just a scaredy car
I love it when there's turbulence gives the adventure a little bit more excitement lol I just flown back 2 days ago though a thunder storm best thing I have ever witnessed 😄
I recently just had a strange experience before takeoff… so takeoffs at 9:05 pm and our flight is delayed for some time, however it comes to round abouts 9:50 and we’re ready to board our flight from granada to London. The airport was fairly small and barely had any planes landing or taking off . Anyways so were on the runway ready for takeoff. We were going maybe round abouts 130 mph and just as it feels like the pilot is about to takeoff he suddenly slams all brakes , all flaps come up and reverse thrust is used . He had to emergency stop the aircraft as there was a technical issue. Anyways that moment there had everybody’s body shaking
I fly relatively frequently and have experienced turbulence on many different levels over the years… some nasty spots were over the pacific and South China Sea areas - dropping sensations just out of the blue… to just rough bumpy rides. The other day I was flying out of Sydney and I have to admit it even made me feel… like woah this feels sketchy … the plane was rocking back and forward and bumping with loud thumps… doesn’t help when people yelp as that insights fear in others… understandably that Is something that is a natural response from some. I thought maybe there were some cowboys flying the plane.. but there was laughter and looks of wide eyes around the cabin after the experience… even I turned to my neighbour and had a chuckle.. I like it when the captain announces why we experienced the turbulence… helps me process this uneasy feeling and prepares me better for future similar experiences.
After flying many times I realized children screams on plane because they're bored and adult also do scream on plane when there is turbulance mid air. I am the loudest screamer each time ,,though I am old enough to get embarrasment for such act.,.this fear will never go
