I have been fishing a variation of this pattern for over 20yrs. I use it as a dropper behind a Stimulator. It is my "go to" nymph as a dropper and it has worked very well on streams from Arizona to Wyoming.
Great explanations of a tie well captured on video. Thanks for a pattern which is very adaptable to differing color combinations or to whatvwe have on hand. Well done.
Hello Jake I have been watching your video for about 4 years now, I downloaded All of them on my laptop. Have learned a lot from them, keep up the great work, respectful Whiskey Pete!
What rod....length/weight...........do you ALL Recommend for the soft hackle?! Can my 9' 5wt work or should I get a dedicated rod/reel?!?! THANKS AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
I've been tying for 55+ yrs. and I have cancer .I was diagnose last year .I don't know if it is because of the fly tying materials I've used over the years. But, when it's now on almost every product we see these days "CAUSES CANCER" .YOU BE THE JUDGE.
Great video man, thanks! It's way more useful and interesting when videos like this explain not only what materials to use, but WHY material X is preferable to material Y, etc. 👍
not sure how I missed this video last year, great pattern design that i'll have to try on the Battenkill and Delaware in different tones for hendrickson and march brown hatches this year. Thanks for sharing!
