Clearly one hell of a player in there - two or three superb passes, some good tackles and intercepts and also he was more mobile than luongo. Agree he got better and better as the game went on but most importantly he looked confident and got a great reception from the town fans. He is going to regain his form and be one hell of a key man for us.
Really impressed with Chiedozie against Fulham. How quick was he onto that brilliant through ball from Liam Delap, and even though he didn't quite make it , In time, he will get to passes like that..Fitted into the team like he had been there forever.
there were a few occasions on Saturday where Ogbene was begging for a ball up the right channel and instead the ball was played more central. As our players get time on the training pitch, they will work this out and it sounds like we have a weapon in our hands if they do.

The way we play with Davis bombing forward on the left, having Clarke cutting inside onto his right and supporting our No.10 in more central areas is exactly what we’ll want and need from him. It’s almost like we’ve got a recruitment plan. 😊
Good signs from us that we'll compete in this division.... Fulham aren't renowned for a strong, high press. Which probably allowed us to play a bit... Think it'll be a few more games before we get fully into our grove..... Exciting times..
Ipswich gave a superbly confident performance yes it was a draw but again against a secure looking premier league team it was very entertaining and exciting
I'm sure I saw Delap? in the last 30 secs of the Wimbledon game on Weds eve pick the ball up from just outside the Ipswich box and charge towards the opponent's goal. He lost his footing, but he looked like a flipping steam train. Strong, energetic player. I like it. I like it a lot.
Our left side is now the problem area. Unfortunately, Davis is out of depth up against better players. His defending has never been great, but going forward his lack of pace hurts and he can’t get in behind.
I agree.Yesterday the winger got past him as if he wasn't there.And ghe same against Man Ciity and Liverpool.Managers will have noted this and will target him

Why do we sign new players ( presumably because they are better than the ones we have got already) and then no start them. Woolfy and Davis are out of their depth. Clarke looked very good but only got 10 mins

A lack of a number 9 puts a huge amount of pressure on Delap and Hurst. You can make an argument that we had a better hold up player in Moore. Could really cost us this year
Moore did a great job for us last season but at times his first touch wasn’t great and lots of times he lost the ball when played up to him. The minute Hirst was fit he was back in the team. Don’t think Moore would have been that good for us in the Premiership and he wasn’t mobile enough to suit the way we play.
@@jc4778 Agreed 👍 but as good as Delap played yesterday I just think it was within our capacity early in the season to attract someone like Tammy Abraham (wanted to return from Italy) on loan, Thomas Chory or even Alexander Sorloth. I feel the club didn’t prioritise the area in the way that many of the fans were expecting. I hope the club were right but we didn’t win yesterday as we struggled to break down there low block. Food for thought maybe
@@tatreides8425 you could be right but I think one of the many promising things from yesterday’s game was that there was a lot more cohesion in our play and I’m sure that will improve over next few weeks. Shame so many will be away due international break though…but they all looked good and will only improve. Delap certainly looks good enough with for the premiership and hopefully Hirst will raise his game too when he’s fit again.
@@jc4778 Agreed 👍 Delap has been fantastic. It’s a a heart over heard thing and I really hope that I’m proved wrong as I feel that the neglect of quality depth in this position could be the difference between 1 and three points in some games. We realistically need 10 to 20 goals out of Hirst and Delap. Fingers crossed 🤞
