Peter used to come on the set with their children. Then she happened to say how happy she was when he lit a fire in the chimney to welcome her at home.
It's a blessing that she was able to have her own biological child, and then be blessed and able to take in two beautiful special babies and raise them as her own.

I've been a huge fan of hers since the first time I saw her, I just recently learned who her parents are and that makes her even more amazing to me because I too lost my mother at a young age, not as young as she was but I too know the bittersweet feeling of being blessed with children ( to which I was told by many doctors would never happen) and feeling so happy yet so sad because I needed and still need her to this day. But I think it made us stronger and better mothers just in the fact that we understand how precious life is and how quickly it can be lost. great job mariska, we love you and your beautiful family!
