No frills just the facts from a former Paratrooper, former private security contractor in Iraq, former Anti piracy contractor off the coast of Somalia ,Surveillance operative in the UK and abroad ,current Firefighter and unlicensed heavyweight boxer.
This was definitely an eye opening discussion and found it very interesting and helpful.. thanks for sharing this with us all.. what a legend you are Joe .. brilliant pod cast 👍👍
Cheers pal ...I filmed it a while back , and nearly didn't release it because of that. ...but I've upgraded audio equipment now so fingers crossed no more hitches ...joys of technology...👌🏻
@@danielwithington3106 I agree but hopefully down the line I would love to have all the kit and equipment to have a small studio but it's still early days and I'm yet to make any revenue from it to be anywhere near that route ....but hopefully as it grows I can upgrade and move forward 💪🏻💪🏻
Yeah hope you do! Are you in a loft there? Best to keep it over the Internet is it teams or zoom? I'm not very techy, my knowledge is limited. No good having ex paras up there in the loft with you, they'll keep stepping out the loft when a green light comes on😜😅
Great to hear you speak about mental health from 50:25. Speaking about it can help people reach out to the right organisations / people, which will lead to positive impact and even save someone’s life. Maybe you could mention a link to a website etc. you’d recommend in your description box / end of your episodes? Thanks for this episode. Btw might be worth putting a PayPal link /Patreon option so people can donate more direct to you. I believe YT takes an amount from YT comment payments that go to you.
You certainly don't look 44, I wouldn't be able to depict you are 44 years of age Chris, 40 maybe. Yes, I mean you certainly do not look your age 😲. You age well like Trevor 🙂. All the best to you Chis 🙂. From Foxy 😉😊😊😉.

lol...thumbnail photos of Tom in service always show him with massive grin....betting he's missing all that sh*t now. There's always Ukraine...or the RAF Regiment.
This is one of the things that I have found as a veteran, once you have left you find that alot of blokes have nothing in common with you . Because alot of the sapport network are sarntmagers or senior ncos . Who are in position s of charity. When alot of the bloke's who have left are privates or jnco,s

Chris, I was in fact incorrect regarding Adolf Hitler's brother Alois - from the book 'Adolf Hitler' by John Toland : “Once the boy skipped school for three days to finish building a toy boat. The father, who had encouraged such hobbies, whipped young Alois, then held him 'against a tree by the back of his neck' until he lost consciousness”. Sorry for any confusion. Keep up the great work, wonderful to listen to your conversation with John.
Ah it's ok ...I did say I don't know how true the fact was....I did try to check it but couldn't find any info ....🤷🏻cheers for the clarification pal x
Thank you for sharing your amazing story, I wonder if by chance you came across my late father? Like most veterans he never talked much about his war, but I know he was involved with the SAS and later served in Greece and Yugoslavia when he was attached to Fitzroy MacLean's mission. My father, William Duncan was a proud Scot, and although he was a Sergeant in 1943, MacLean always referred to him as 'Guardsman Duncan'.
102, just amazing. What an incredible story, told with such clarity and pride. I could sit all day listening to stories like that. I love Chelsea Pensioners. I've watched a heap of stuff on the history of them. TOP, I loved the way you just sat and allowed John to speak with no interruption 👌😊. As an Aussie, I'm proud he made Australia home for 40 years 👏👏
You led the conversation very well! At 102 your guest had a terrific sharp mind - would love to have talked with him twenty or thirty years ago - the stories he could tell. But probably wouldn't of course. Thank all present and retired service personnel for their service. Britain is and was lucky to have such citizens. Hold your heads high.
Thank you for you nice comments ...it was a bit of challenge sorting out the technology side but we got there ....but as you can see the signal wasn't too great in the hospital but I think we did his story proud 🙏🏻
Thankyou gentlemen .What a fantastic life and fantastic story .Very sage advice very wise man .The fact he tells his stories about the war around schools is needed .I've enjoyed this immensely ❤
Trevor you are such a lovely person, a wonderful raconteur, a man who has been awarded an MC for your bravery. This country should be beholden to you for all the work you have done for King and country and for veterans. I salute your bravery and courage. God bless you and your loved ones. What a wonderful podcast, I have so enjoyed it.
Very sad when these individuals say that the Army was their home & at the same time they shit on him. The Army don't give a toss about you & even these SAS guys are expendable.
I remember doing my Dems course at H. We got rid of the rest of the entire uk mil inventory of 66s. For some daft reason all were being withdrawn from service use. Poss past sell by date. Usual big business selling the next best thing to useless civil servants and Gov. Sounds like mick and Billy got rid of the in theatre operational ones. Small world.
Great mission statement. Thank you for highlighting the fact that mental health is real and at times can be a very difficult topic to discuss and confront for a variety of different people. It's a passion of mine also and I am looking forward to being further educated by your guests and hearing about their journeys. They are inspiring. I also enjoy the authenticity of the podcast, non-scripted truly gets to the heart of the matter and enables questions and conversations to flow naturally, whether that be with a guest or just by yourself. But, at the end of the day, what you are doing is bringing an important topic to the forefront, so a thank you for that is always necessary.
