It came together with the door handle, not sure if it is the same handle on avant. I got it from aliexpress, should be plenty to choose from, just look for a dedicated a6 c6 rearview camera.

Yeah, stage 1 is possible for sure and it it done by reflashing the ECU, either through OBD2 with something like KESS software without taking the ECU out or take out the "computer" and flash new software on the bench with something like KTag software. If the mmi basic 2 g low supported the bluetooth then you should be able to add it, however I don't know the details there.

The G62 temperature sensor should be located at the back of the engine on the right side. I don't plan on making a video unless I need to replace it, but it is just "old out and new in." There is another temperature sensor for the instrument cluster G83 located at the output of the radiator. I need to replace a thermostat, and I may make a video of that, but it depends on time etc

Well, I know only a few things I had a chance to play with, maybe few more here and there, but no expert here :D It is good to know a few things about a thing one drives, isn't it?

Hello, there are 2 parts of timing, a belt in the engine front, and the chain is in the back, the chain suppose not to be changed but it can potentially extend and start to make rattle noises especially when starting engine when cold and there are also these 3 ring seals that wear out causing problems with oil pressure there

Ciezko powiedzieć, bo nie ma zadnej wzmianki w dokumentacji, mogł byc i nie ruszany od nowości tzn 145 tys km, nawet nie bylo potrzeby wymiany bo delikatne przetarcie tylko bylo ale jak juz byl serwis robiony to sie wymieniło popychacz i uszczelke pompy.

2 front wheels according to a petrol station air pump had 2.4bar but one of the sensors shows 2,5bar and other one 2,3bar, 2 rear sensors seem to show accurate pressure (at least it matches the value shown on petrol station air pump). Not sure where the difference comes from but you can see it is not accurate. Anyway I hope it will do it's thing and ring the alarm when the pressure drops below certain value. I got it on aliexpress, if you are still interested, just search for bluetooth tmps and you will find plenty.

From least invasive - warm water, isopropyl alcohol, bugs remove stuff, wd40, anti tar stuff, nothing with acetone for sure or say goodbye to car paint 🎨 let me know what has helped. Not a long time ago, I had a small anti rust treatment that left some yellow stains on the car and isopropyl removed where the rest of the things I've tried failed miserably.

That was also my plan in the beginning, tried to cut off only the gear, but it was difficult to not butcher everything around (had only large cutting plate) so decided on cutting the balance shafts completely off and sealing off the oil channels.

@@Lefa_Maeko28 Not a single issue noticed, drives well, had some concerns about possible more vibrations (after all deleted balance shafts) but nothing like that, no power lose, legend says that there even should be a bit more power but I haven't noticed any difference there. People change these problematic 2.0 oil pumps with previous generation pumps from 1.8T or 1.9d without balance shafts and no vibration issues there (except some say something about oil pressure issues). With this mod no issues so far (and I hope it will stay this way, will drive and observe).

Thanks! Glad you liked the video! I didn't know there is a paper filter inside, thanks for info! Paper filter and not serviceable doesn't sound like a robust solution. I have tried to flush the fluid container with a break cleaner, hopefully it got rid of some dirt/particles accumulated there over the years and even more hopefully no harm was done to the paper filter. Have you noticed any issues with your power steering or just maintenance?

@@AudiDIY I plan to do just maintainance. I'll add one tube of Liqui Moly 1099 to help revitalize all the seals.

I wish I knew about the LM 1099 before, but it can be just added anytime, right? For me no leaks anywhere but that additive should soften the seals that harden over time and my car is 14 years old, from my experience rubber lasts around 8 years and then looses it's properties ofc it depends on type of rubber and working conditions but when 8 years old anything can happen. I've done so much with this car that it should stay with me forever so trying to keep it in top shape, oil flushes, oil additives, ceratec, mos2, transmission flush and some additives, but missed the one for the power steering, thanks a lot for that hint!

@@AudiDIY I think you can add it later, as the fluid is pumped around anyway, so it'll reach the most remote corners of the system sooner or later.

Ich würde nie zum vorherigen Display zurückkehren. Das Aussehen ist Geschmackssache, aber für mich ist die Funktionalität am wichtigsten, und diese Einheit steht den neuesten Autos in nichts nach (leider abgesehen vom fehlenden Support für 360-Grad-Kameras, aber ich habe in einem der Projekte ein semi-360 gemacht, das Video ist auf dem Kanal verfügbar). Viele neue Autos haben solch ein herausragendes Display, und was hältst du vom Display in einem Tesla, haha. Guter Punkt in Bezug auf die Sicherheit, aber in diesem Fall würde ich mir eher Sorgen um eine lose halbliterflasche Wasser machen, die bei einer Geschwindigkeit von 50 km/h die Aufprallkraft eines Zementsacks hat. I would never go back to the previous display. The appearance is a matter of taste, but for me, functionality is the most important, and this unit does not stay behind those in the latest cars (unfortunately, except for the lack of support for 360 cameras, but I made a semi-360 in one of the projects, the video is available on the channel). Many new cars have such a protruding display, and what do you think about the display in a Tesla, haha. Good point about safety, but in this case, I would be more concerned about a loose half-liter bottle of water, which at a speed of 50 km/h has the impact force of a bag of cement.

The channel is getting way more engagements than I expected, especially for a hobby channel 😀 but thanks for letting me know that I have many many problems!

Unfortunately, no special devices and phone apps no useful for that but it is way different from before there are sounds but they are dull and heavy if you know what i mean, I hear now back part more, need to take care of it next

@@AudiDIY You need three layers : Damper, absorber and blocker. Abutyl, polytherane and rubber Otherwise, noise will just change frequency

@shauntodd4850 there is some access to these 2 out of 18 screws after lowering subframe but subframe blocks the view from below so inspection camera is a big help there to see where to put the 2 screws exactly, tried to capture it on the vid but have not enough arms for everything 🐙

Ha, good question, I have no idea, it was always there, so never even wondered about it, though that is closed at the end, but it is opened.

Don't have any link got used ami cable on a local auction. Just plug it in the yellow socket behind the glove box, connect jack/ami cable delivered with the radio and then you need to activate ami in the green diagnostic menu.

@@robinvietor596 I only got the ami cable, the box was already mounted behind the glovebox. My box has 2 inputs one yellow for the new ami cable and one pink that was already used (a radio I belive)

Un po' più di 1 litro sarebbe sufficiente, ho preso 2 litri per sciacquare il sistema e mi è rimasto ancora più di mezzo litro.
