Maybe somebody already answered this, but the website for ADJ Entour Chill states you cannot use dry ice that it will cause issues. That it has a dry ice like effect when used with regular ice that is why they have the entour chill & entour ice. It may be working, but it can cause malfunctions using the dry ice.
Mmmmm…. I haven’t had an issue yet. I’m sure it’s like those commercials for medicine that list all the side effects if one person experienced it. lol. I’m not saying it can’t, but it’s worked great for me. Keep in mind this isn’t a replacement for a real “dry ice” machine like a NIMBUS.
Whats some pretty good durable and great sounding and affordable dj speakers I can buy? Im just a house dj but i dj small events sometimes but need better speakers. Thanks
Now imagine if they included at least 1 or 2A 12v outputs a mobile dj could use to power a Dj console. Why they didn't think of that is beyond my understanding... I've got a question do you think 2 could handle an outdoor event for 50+ people? They seem pretty small. There are a 15" battery powered speaker systems like VSA700 by VONYX....but I've never seen a comparison anywhere and I feel they will be similar to Mackie if not worse...
There are battery powered controllers so there really isn’t a need for that. Also keep in mind, this was designed just for DJs, but musicians and street performers as well. So to keep cost and weight down, I think they did a bang up job. For any dancing event you’d want more than this. Check out the EVERSE 12.
Thanks so much for this! I’m just now getting it. I had it for my wedding. A question I have though is if you invite the whole wedding party to make request. (which is fine with me.) can you tell which ones are the couples? Versus which ones are the one random bridesmaids who loves like modest mouse lol if that makes sense. Just so maybe you could prioritize them better.
Yes. Absolutely. It tells you who made the request so you know which songs are form your couple and which is from “others.” It also tells you when they added them. Also, there is a difference between a HOST link and GUEST link. Guests can’t make significant changes in the app. Only add music to the dancing section. So you don’t have to worry about a rouge MIL or MOH sabotaging anything. Ha. It does so much more than you see here but the video would have been hours long. Thanks for checking this out.
Are you still using it? I have one and have rarely used it because I have had horrible static at times. I recently ordered a antenna combiner with a directional antenna to see if it helps.
There is better technology available. This is 4 years old. I now use this… ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pfcaP3ZvnZI.htmlsi=pTdxicbkH3G-oDbj
I charge an up fee for outdoor weddings..... mostly because of the wear and tear on my equipment. I had an outdoor gig last week and the dew was so bad it looks as if my equipment was rained on.
As always such a great video , outdoors is another type of experience , but we do what we have to do, thank you Rachel for your always awesome advice and tips. greetings from Chicago !
🫡♥️ Definitely a unique experience and set of challenges for us. Luckily we have technology to let us do what we need to do. Thanks for stopping by the channel! 🙌🏻
I need some help Rachel. What sensitivity settings do you have on the transmitter/receiver? I can't seem to find a happy medium on mine. I purchased the same Sennheiser.
This is why I take the time to make these. Wanna keep people motivated and let them known there is great gear out there that lets us do great things. Thanks so much for your kindness and support. Keep on doing it! 🫡
Rach, luv ya girl and appreciate all your hard work and dedication to helping the industry! Wanted to share some info regarding the Mackie Thump Go! First, I'm an EV loyalist and have been for a hot minute! I've got 18 ETX subs, 18 EKX subs, 15 ETX, 12 EKX tops, 3 Evolve 50s, and RE20 broadcast mics! Although the Mackie Thump Go may not provide the same amount of extra utility as the Everse, I do believe it belongs in the discussion with the other three, especially the JBL Ion! It's got an 8in woofer and a 1in compression driver, it puts out an impressive 115db SPL, ,a fairly nice feedback eliminator, Bluetooth, and one hell of a battery! EV got in the game late, so I went with the Mackie Thump Go a few years back and it's been fantastic! I'll add the Everse in white but I just wanted to happily share this feedback with you! Stay beautiful!🫶🫶
Respect! 🫡 Thanks for your time and expertise to share this. I really appreciate the dialogue and feedback you shared on the Mackie. I’ve heard great things about it, especially for the price point and totally think it offers an excellent affordable battery powered option. #EVETXFAM
Hello, i have 3 power subs 18s electro voice, 4 power tops Electro-Voice And some lighting 2 tripods Which dockery should give me good covered for good 5 hours 800, 1000 or 1500
Love the content! I did a beach wedding this summer on the Texas coast. It was fun but the heat, humidity and sand tested the limits of my patience. It went well overall and I got a good experience! Subscribed!
@@DJRachelLynch I am a mobile dj I’m always looking for quick setup but put out a nice look. I hate dealing with my cables & wires. I saw your video with your bag really good stuff. I have RCF evox 12 speakers I’m having a problem with the array speaker moving all the time from vibration of sub or wind. Love the speakers do you have any suggestions what I can do? Let me know because it drives me nuts 😎 thanks Homer Dj 1Love
Picked up the Comica Vimo Q4 because of those video. You’re always so helpful and transparent with what you use and how things go together. I’ll be using them at my next wedding in a couple of weeks! Thanks!
Hope they work out great. Keep in mind 2.4GHZ mics can be hit or miss! It is always dependent on the frequency environment. So far so good for me. Appreciate your time to check this out. 🙂
@@DJRachelLynch - I'm sorry, Rachel, I meant to direct that towards Kevin. Lol I want to use these for the ceremony, but you said these shouldn't be your main go-to’s. I'm still learning all about proper body packs for lapel and GHZ.
@@Omo_Jimoh I’ve used them 3 times now. No issues. Good sound, easy to use. Most of my weddings are destination type weddings so the 2.4 Hz issue is no issue at all.
Be aware of those itchy grubs, I had one inside one of my dj totes from an outdoor wedding, it made my life hell for 3 weeks I couldnt stop scratching and its hairs were all over my dj gear. Everytime i opened that tote my allergies kicked in.
The only good thing about outdoor events is the great sound we can achieve from our systems, no horrible echos or unnatural reverb from poorly designed venue halls. I love the crisp and clean sound my system can deliver outdoors. Great gig log
Do you have to have an aditional szenhesiser for connecting two EV8s? Can't they communicate between each other and act as a stereo setup via bluetooth or at least via cable for example? This would be a huge deal breaker for me if this isn't included.
The number of people in attendance is only one consideration when selecting a speaker. It depends on the TYPE OF EVENT you’re doing. It depends on HOW DENSELY PACKED the people are going to be. It depends on your SOUND OBJECTIVE (how you want to fill the space). It depends on HOW LARGE the room/dance floor is. It depends on HOW LOUD you need to be at the farthest point in the room. It depends on the UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS of the venue/room. It depends on your CLIENT’S EXPECTATIONS (think student prom vs corporate picnic; do they want or need to to be crushed by sound?) It depends on INDOOR/OUTDOOR considerations (sound moves differently with and without walls). It depends on your knowledge of PROPER GAIN STRUCTURE and knowledge of BUILT IN FEATURES of your speakers. It depends on what your speakers are realistically DESIGNED FOR/CAPABLE OF. Maybe some other things I’m forgetting too.
Hey Rachel, and/or other CT DJ’s. CT with a trailer? Not so much worried about rural venues, but city ones…..is it as big a pain as Boston or Providence or it’s fine?
This is awesome how is the MSI Sword on stem ? is it smooth i was looking to get another laptop. will you recommend of have something else in mind. Cheers
I just got it so I don’t have much feedback on it yet. It’s spec’d out to handle live STEMS so it’s been solid on that front. I’ve used ASUS for many many years. This is my first MSI laptop. Both brands have been highly recommended.
@@DJRachelLynch Cheers much appreciated. I wills ay you have used ASUS long enough to say it can handle STEM LIVE with no issues yes? i really appreciate the time and response. Cheers
Not trying to jump on Rachels bandwagon - but - If you are in the Hartford area and need the equipment pads or even 1 - 4 inch cork pads for vibration isolation to keep equipment stable reach out to me.
