I'm a real life steam engineman driving all sorts of train simulators mostly with Raildriver. If you're interested in rail by someone with actual rail experience then join me and we can explore together. Streaming weekly on Sundays at 8.30am Melbourne, Australia time AEST. There will be occasional other streams as the mood strikes. If you feel like helping me with streaming and software costs or just to buy me a coffee paypal.me/trainsimulatordriver I certainly appreciate it.
This route with the TSW5 Starter Pack, Blackpool Branches, North Pennine, Tees Valley, and the various BR Blue locomotive dlc would be the greatest bundle of all time. Well built, a genuine challenge (something more challenging than one handed EMUs is well overdue!), JT knocked BPO out of the park, and this looks even better. I struggled to find any enthusiasm for TSW5, and even chucked my teddy out of the pram when I reluctantly decided to upgrade and had problems installing all my DLC. But this route has reignited my love of the game and I've reinstalled it. I genuinely cannot wait.
Sign up for the monthly newsletters. They are working on some improving soundsets and working on other enhancements. In terms of new trains and ep's, they have slowed down since they've recorded most of the trains so far
That likely means there is train in front of you and you've ignored ATC limit drops so it has stopped you. Avoid it by driving more slowly and obeying all speed limits. Use the lowest number from track side, ATC or ACSES.
Could you explain why the 66 in TSW suddenly loses power from time to time and comes to a complete halt before I can pump up the brakes again? I haven't engaged the safety systems so it's not an emergency stop.
It will do that if you're overloading the traction motors. Normally it backs off for a few seconds then loads up again but if you're really going hard it might stop you completely. I've never seen it apply the brakes only back off the power. It does sound like you may have at least one safety system inadvertently turned on. Can you record and share a video that starts from the beginning of the service until the issue occurs?
@@trainsimulatordriver Thank you so much. You're right, I've been overdoing the acceleration and it's purely a power loss (nothing to do with the brakes). With a more gradual build-up of power it doesn't happen. Much appreciated.
Towards the end of the video, how did you access the scenario 'instruction' elements...it just sort of popped up on screen without knowing what key you pressed to access them
I might be able to tell you the problem because I also can’t drive the Br423. So I literally can’t drive it in time table mode as the game shows it’s not available in Frankfurt to Fluda but it is available in München to Augsburg Edit: Nvm checked the forums if your on a 8th gen console (like me) Frankfurt to fluda has a reduced time table to improve performance
@@samstranghorwitz no, none at all beyond the "it needs more time" hopefully it'll be worth the extra wait. I really enjoy the og Boston so hopefully it's not long
The best job is when you get paid to make people smile. By the way, Disneyland won’t let you put a pinky out the window much less entire legs. I want to visit and I’d like to ride the roof if possible. 😮
It's a lot of fun. There's a bit of a learning curve but you'd pick it up quickly. If you don't take any contracts you could just run passenger trains if you want to.
I've already tried clearing the cache in Train Simulator Classic 2024 several times, but I'm still getting that annoying Out of Memory crash coming up on my game every so often, especially when I'm trying to edit quick drive scenarios. Every single time that happens, I literally have to start all over again. It's really getting on my nerves. I certainly don't wanna have to uninstall and reinstall all of my DLC back in the game again. I quite literally have a lot of DLC for Train Simulator Classic 2024.
I was messing around in the switch box with the battery and it hard shut everything off. I've tried to find a training that helps set this train up from scratch and every training scenario has it already on. After messing with the battery and the train is hard off, how does one reset it?
@@nicholasmcclary4119 I don't know for the ice-t, see if you can switch on battery power then get the pantograph up, once that is up close the main circuit breaker and see how you go
@@trainsimulatordriver i figured it out. You have to switch the battery to "on" but continue to hold it there for a few seconds until the system registers it
@@nicholasmcclary4119 I was looking for exactly this. I switched off my battery and switch it on again. my train went completely off. thanks for the advise.
i have tsw3 and got the bakerloo line dlc, then i got the free version of tsw5 where i can use hs1 and bakerloo line, can i use conductor mode on hs1 route or just wcml
@@mudchute4dlr conductor mode needs both the route and the train to support it, it will probably come to more older trains and routes over time but right now it only works with the new ones
hey, this is a good explanation!, i'd like to ask something tho, when i start my route, the train is arleady on, but i want to start cold e dark, how do i do that?
DTG gets a lot of hate and a lot of it is frankly deserved, but TSW5 is a major step in the right direction, FFM - Fulda is my favourite route so far its great
@@Youberc yeah I can imagine, I broke my phone just before going overseas, fortunately I was able to get another one. I still haven't fixed the one I broke
@@trainsimulatordriver Yeah it’s very sad. I think the actual station is used as a music venue now and the bus stop type of station is something like 400 yards along the line. It’s like everything to do with the UK these days, everything is going down the toilet including no one wanting to spend money to keep things like the proper Morecambe station viable for what it was intended for. 🙁
I have a problem with the free starter pack when I load in to it on my PS4 I can’t see the export files and I have tried many things but can never see the my account from tsw4
@@lane9084 under my profile you should find an import option, you don't need to export from TSW4 as long as it's on the same physical console it should find it
@@rattyfus8218 yeah we've got none of them! My railway set up a beer garden last summer which was too far from the station to be popular, really needs to be in the station
I believe I’ve found another broken BNSF R-CAL6011. Weekend timetable in the ES44C4 this time. It’s the 06:00 that says 33 minutes. Confusing, eh?! Anyway after picking up the trucks at Cucamanga it won’t let me go because it says the switches are wrong and won’t clear the red signal. If you get a mo could you have a look at this one just in case I’m going mad. Takes about 10 minutes to get to the point where you get stuck.
@@rattyfus8218 some of the red signals are facing away from you this isn't obvious on the map and some of them are derails that don't matter just to be confusing
@Robert.S459 it's been like that since TSW2, some locos are better than others but anything depending on the core implementation jiggles, the best one is likely the just trains pacer, the worst is likely the ice-t
@@trainsimulatordriver I think we share the same favorite, the Class 101. I have been working with Cobraone's app trying to get a standard button mapping for all UK tractions. Still WIP I'm afraid.
