Here's the thing about medicine for mind issues like anxiety or depression... most of the underlying causes of those are past traumas and the manifestation of unhealed trauma plays out as those mind symptoms. We can treat the anxiety and depression symptoms but the underlying cause remains unhealed down in the trashcan of our souls. Like, say you are infected with strep throat but you don't know that's what it is. All you experience is the pain and fever so you medicate with Tylenol to numb the pain and fever. You keep medicating the symptoms while the infection still remains and the root cause of the symptoms is still alive and well inside of you. Love your podcast, brother 👍

This entire show could of easily replaced the word “man” with “spouse” so men who are suffering don’t have to be humiliated further and feel like it’s “ a woman’s issue” they’re dealing with instead of a universal relationship trauma.
