Boy, great reminder about the bird seed. They will wait for those mice. Nice job with the relocation, smooth. Love those nursery plants, notice them a lot since moving here 5 years ago.
Hi Judy sure is amazing to see rattlesnakes. You got great footage. A real treat to see you posted a video. I always enjoy them. Last week my Lil Bud Conner got to Touch his first Garter snake. A special day for us. Have a great day.
Yeah its defiantly a mature sharpie. The only thing it could be confused for is a coopers hawk coopers are usually a bit bigger but with reverse sexual dimorphisim that alone can make it tough. But there are clear ways to distiguish and your video actually makes it easy because one of the easiest and quickest ways to distinguish between the two species is the tail shape while perched. A sharpie like this has a very distinct squared off tail end where a coopers has a rounded one. Coopers will also have a cap like colouration on their heads while a sharpie has a hood that joins onto its back. Accipiters are my favorite raptors and raptors are my favorite animals of gods creation.
Holy wildfire Batman!! You sure got a too-close-for-comfort front seat for this event. Scary stuff for sure. Great shots of the helicopter dropping the water, that takes some skill. Glad this worked out in the end, looks like they did a GREAT job all things considered.
Yeah,, they did. My fav was the helicopter too - was fascinating to watch! Got scary again last night because we had some extreme lightning without rain. Then we got a few drops which hopefully helped. I haven't seen it this dry though in a long time. Grateful monsoon's finally here
That's such a wild observation, literally. I've never observed a rattlesnake eating a bird. Some great close-ups in this one, nice touch with the magenta. If that's your house at the end, you sure live in a spectacular area.
Thank you very much! And yes, that is my house. It is a spectacular area and was recently threatened by a wildfire to the extent we were evacuated. A very near miss - could see the flames from my house. The fire went straight down the Vekol wash so that gorgeous desert willow tree is probably burned to a crisp. Now. Of course I did a video of that too which we be going up in a few days. Beauty has its risks. . .
Yes - it just landed like that one early cool morning. I'm used to not getting good shots of butterflies because they seldom sit still! II. I've had to change a lot of stores around and have new ones -- one day I'll do a video on that - hopefully :). Thanks for your comments!
Awesome video Judy! I did a full view and enjoyed every minute of it! You did a fantastic job following the Gila Monster all over the place!!! I hope I get to see one this year!!!
The deadly hilamonster so deadly it kills anything it comes in contact with it has attack and dragged down several head of livestock and two people are missing and suspected of being killed and devoured by this terrible lizard if you see don't try to approach it lock your door and called 911 you should not attempt to kill it without a Abrams tank yes people it's that dangerous
And? Cool new intro/graphics/message. With you on the likes, views, money, etc. I couldn't produce videos if my creative touch wasn't in them regardless of what the viewer might think.
Me too! With my tremor and everything, I just felt I had to put a disclaimer on it or something -- I just don't have the bandwidth anymore to "care". if ya know what I mean. :D I can't keep up with new and better equipment etc but I do have lots of footage - that's where I'm going to try to put my focus!
She's back with a monster of a video! That is so neat that you had wider open spaces to capture all that amazing video. The ones I spot usually have a thick escape route. Some great footage and close-ups. And how neat that it was the same gila. Good to see a video from you!!
Thanks so much! Great to be back. 9 days later - I got another one! Came out from the same direction too but it was a bit smaller. I've always thought I have a big burrow underneath my property somewhere.
So sweet & thank you so much!!! I have had a time of it -- in and out of the hospital - but much better now. Hope to get back to watching and making more videos soon. Hope all is well with you and yours too and that your holidays are going great!😊
Next step he plants those seeds in new locations for you via digestion, it appears there's a gila monster at 1 minute 39 seconds, if they are in your yard how often do you see them and what do they react with when you are there?
Sorry for the delay in replying. That gila monster is a model. But I do get them quite a bit. I've already had 2 this year. I have a whole playlist that answers all your questions about them. Check it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-STojKfbalC0.html. Thanks so much for watching & commenting!
Unlike pigs, Javelina would be considered clean food to eat according to Leviticus 11:2 because they part the hoof and are cloven footed and chew the cud, they also have a complex 3 compartment stomach, unlike pigs which don't chew the cud. Levitucus 11:7 and have a simple one compartment stomach. Has anyone tried Javelina Bacon?
Had that been a chicken, most likely the wasp would have ended up in its belly. They don't play with their food at all! Duck bill just a bit too clumsy for that prey.
I read that, when they eat the milkweed, there's a chemical response in their bodies which results in the manufacture of cardiac glycocides. The presence of this substance acts as a deterrent to bats, a predator of moths.
Thanks for the interesting video. I assume a woodpecker or something must have originally made the hole. I imagine it's probably nice and cool inside the cactus. Anyway,...Hope things are going well for you. 🦋🌷🥀🦋
Good to see a video from you. Nice rescue and release, another GREAT example of how they have no intention of harming us. Nice music and editing, Judy. Gotta keep that streak going in 2023, here's to another 3 rattlesnakes.
Thanks so much, Rob! I wanted to do my own music to this one but Garageband's not working right now. Fortunately, you can always find something from Kevin MacLeod - he's so versatile. I'll try to get the next one out soon - it's REALLY a doozy!
How cool is that? I've been wanting to see an owl or any bird peeking out a hole in a saguaro. Got me thinking I need to be looking at dusk/night now. Great video, great narration.
Thanks so much! What really gets his attention is when I lie down on the ground looking straight up with my camera. He's never seen a human do that and doesn't know what to make of it! Yeah - you're right next door to Saguaro National Monument - get out there and I'm sure you'll find one!
I came across a red tail hawk recently. It was on a street in a populated area. Quite large and it looked as though it had just eaten a kill based on the large amount of feathers on the ground. 😊
