I think we must have to go University for learn about tachograph rules...30 years driving experience i my self i think iam still learning.oh my God very complicated...
Question , when the fu'' does the 2 weekly period start ? Is it like the start of the month where you comply with stuff and then the other 2 weeks you repeat same shit ...but then again months are not the same so wtf
Have a question about working at night time. I usually start my shift at 10am so I'm allowed to work till 1 am next day (15 hrs). In Video they mentioned something that working between 00:00 and 4: 00 am you are allowed to work in total only 10 hours . So do I get infringement after folling past midnight???
That would be crazy considering how many truck drivers import/export into europe. Drivers are already struggling to learn these rules, imagine another set of rules 😮
@@samnagen8782 i hear you but like I said, you make the regulations simple, people will understand them. Not saying loosen the laws just simplify. Secondly again, if we not in the EU anymore why are we following still. Done and dusted with brexit
There are a lot of EU laws that we don’t have to follow but because everyone who has governed us since Brexit are Pro Europe they dont want to get rid of the laws!!

I put my application in at the end of last year, and come January i had been accepted and started. Few online meetings, studied mostly online, passed my theory, then my medical and then passed the CPC. Just waiting on my practical now which is booked for the near future. Thank you. "Edit" Have now passed my practical! Big thanks to SP training, and everyone involved, and my instructor Vince was absolute first class, not just a top instructor, but a top bloke also.
Why is everything so difficult? I watch videos about driving trucks in Europe and they are always talking about rest breaks so thought I'd watch this video to try and understand. It sounds likevit made to try and catch drivers out. I drive on New Zesland and it's so simple. After 5 and half hours on duty 1/2 hour break must be had. On duty for 13 plus 2 half hour breaks then must have ten hour off duty. Dunno bout you guys but it is a lot more simple I reckon
I’m struggling to understand working time in a working week.. 48h calculated over a reference period of 17 weeks which can be extended to 26 weeks… how in the world I’m going to learn that. I want to cry😭
Honestly, i wonder how many drivers actually know all of these rules. I would say over 50% wouldnt have a clue. Driving times, rest, daily rest, weekly rest. Its just so over complicated. For a beginner anyway.
After every 45 mins break, the counter resets and s further 4.5 hours can be driven. However remember daily driving time is 9 hours and can only extend to ten hours, on no more than 2 occasions per week
So I'm sitting this in the next week, I'm curious on the test will I actually have to demonstrate how to use straps etc. Like physically tie a knot or something?
Hi, can i still use whatever left from 4.5 hours after 45 min breaks? for instance for a 10 hours driving shift if I've just driven 3.5 hours before 45 min breaks, and again just drive 2.5 hours and get 45 min breaks, can I drive another 3 hours before end of shift or I only left with 1 hour after second break?
Can you answer this. Shift start at 5am, driving during day less than 4hrs, took first brake at 8 am. Instead if 15 minutes brake had to stay for 1hr on brake till 9am. Shift finishes at 4pm. How much second brake needed 15 minutes or 30 minutes?
I'm a driver just refreshing up on this, I like the questions, in your case I'd say because you work from 9am until 4pm (7 hours ) you would need a 30 minutes break due to the 6 hour rule.
If you get pulled up on that, they’ll probably say manage your time properly…if you’re stuck in traffic or something then you print out your taco and make a manual entry and write on that back the reasons why
Its complete bullshit, the system isnt fit for purpose and has holes and unpatched flaws left right and centre. Serco use this piece of shit to keep tabs and lie about job seekers on their restart program, you cant get sense out of aptem or serco regarding data protection. DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS PORTAL..... IT WILL FUCK YOU!! The company who made the program need to be more open and honest and admit its not fit for purpose.
Ok here is another one, also a question. On Monday, Tuesday you already used 2 of your reduced daily rest. On Wednesday you start at 6 am and finish at 7:22 pm. So you worked 13h 22min. You supposed to start at 5am next day morning. So you have 9 hours 38min until 5 am. Is that legal ? Can you start at 5 am or you must wait until 6am ?
@@TRUCKERJOES - It's a 24 hour period, the driver had to finish work at 18:00 in order to have a 11 hour rest at 7AM the following day. In your case the driver has had a reduced daily rest as it was less than 11 hours but exceeded 9 hours. And has broken the rules. The time working out the period is from 06:00 - 06:00 in the 24 hour period. Don't get caught out.
I think there are a few different companies doing the scheme, and you're right, some of them have. As the company i am with mentioned, they had to take on a load of new people, as they had taken them on from them companies that went into administration.
Thank you for a very easy and simple video on this, Ive got my mod 4 on monday and was a little uneasy mentally about it, hopefully I will remember all the info I have gotten from this video :D wish me luck!
