How do you end it if you are not using two buckles like you alluded to in the video?

Excellent knot. Tightens to a very tight hold. The only caution is to make sure you're butting up knots in series as close as you can as you tighten. Otherwise you'll need a pair of bent needlenose pliers to re-tighten the chain.
