Hey man, i still didnt finish the video, but, how did you manage to keep your horn so small? I know there is a mod to remove the entire thing, but you killed so many people and its preety low XD
@@chopedman The very last mission I recorded was Retake the Platform... when I was finished it had finally grown for the first time, meaning I'd just passed the 20,000 Demon Points threshold. The cool thing now is if I were to repeat this, the Demon Point threshold for Horned Snake is upped to 40,000 after you get it for the first time.
Hardly the most riveting thing to watch, I understand - reading the radar play a massive role in tracking enemies, so I've provided an enlarged radar making use of negative space for an easier viewing experience. Wave 15 is as bad as it gets in your battle to reach Wave 16. You WILL burn through ammunition doing this... LOTS of blind firing Combat MG MkII, Special Carbine MkII, Assault Shotgun & pop-out shouts with the Heavy Revolver MkII w/Incendiary Ammo. The nerves of steel required for the complete restraint at 3:35. If I retreated, the enemies could push into the corridor. If I try to shoot, I will be killed. The only option was to remain completely still in cover and let my health regenerate. At least this doesn't take as long as Vidmaster Challenge: Endure.
A Solid Snake MGS1 run? Already done that, but it was a series in my classic style; Full playthrough with no edits other than timelapsing dead-air & no commentary. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZXYgSySCUYQ.html
Funnily enough - way back in 2022 - that was the original idea for this November (MGS3's 20th). But when I was customising the weapons (because yes, I was planning to schedule them that far ahead), I realised it would play pretty much 1-to-1 as the MGS1 run - just with a camo buff from the Fatigues. That's what got me to opt for The Boss instead, and the justice I wanted to do her character is what made me add all the extra challenge of No Hud & All Mission Tasks that became the Voyevoda Challenge.
It's the simple, unassuming things that always get us. When I was editing this, having Strangers Like Me morph into Summer Nights is the one gag that made me cry with laughter for about 10 minutes when I put it together.
Indeed. Took me until 2 years ago to get my one and only save up to 100%, and since then I've been working to complete every Development project - shuffling staff of course, no way am I getting every Unit up to 162 at the same time. Almost done. Just need 6 more Intel levels to get the Grade 11 Sneaking Suit, then I'm down to just the FOB Only stuff.
@@ZakRas I'm still ways from getting the online weapon max ranks, at least FOB4 is near completion for me. That stuff really does out-budget NATO's collective military GDP ten to one.
@@justinbell2166 I... don't know, probably. I never unlocked it simply because that's too close to where I was throwing the Decoys, I was likely to be spotted if I went that way. I never thought about the Skulls or Puppets walking through it.
Anyone planning to play MGS V TPP again or the first time, make sure to download Beyond ultra Mod and if your PC can handle it crank up the resolution or virtual res. I run 5120x2880 with a 7900XT and getting 100 fps, looks amazing
I'm sure it's been pointed out in numerous videos, but I gotta say it here. Having the weapons in this game be ersatzed facsimiles of real guns in this game makes sense when you, Venom Snake, are an ersatzed facsimile of Big Boss.
Got a sub for the thing about S rank+all objectives+no retries on that mission in Africa...that is SO DIFFICULT. Mad props. Also, that 600+ hours hours shows; for some reason, just never thought about using fultoning a big box as extraction. Genius.
Not entirely convinced this was done without a mod lifting S rank restrictions. There's a LOT of stuff you're doing that just straight up breaks S ranks in vanilla. Cool video, but I don't know that I would present this as vanilla.
I'm playing on the Xbox One version, so modding is out the window for me. The only thing I do in the whole run that would impose an S Rank restrictions would be the Bombardment in Episode 31, but for whatever reason it doesn't apply on that mission.
@@thed3m0n0id9 Triggering Reflex Mode just means you don't get the No Reflex Bonus (& those that follow), you can still get the mission score over the par for S Rank without it.
@@ZakRas There's literally mods made specifically to fix the S rank restriction for using Reflex mode. Have never made an S rank using it myself when doing whole missions pure sneak and doing all the extras personally, so Idk personally. But hey, whatever works, dude. Tbh, watching this, I think I have misunderstood some of the S rank conditions over the years, expecting stricter requirements for Fox and the like based on prev games. So I may just be entirely f'kin wrong, bro xD Fox used to require no kills at all.
@thed3m0n0id9 fox is not getting spotted 3 missions in a row. Foxhound is not getting spotted or killing enemies 3 missions in a row. You can achieve s rank with reflex mode activating if you have enough points, since s rank is just about the number of points you have.
Absolutely, the ranking for each mission is tied solely to your score. Usually just doing a mission in it's quickest par time and No Retries or Combat Alerts can be enough to get it past the S Rank threshold.
