different time, different manufaccture and materials. straps and yellowish cordura analog was produced in siberian factory which went bankrupt in about 2010. thats why since that time straps color and yellowish materials disappeared.

Got one of these a few years ago. I prefer this to regular Smersh, I’m not a fan of the large butt pack. The MON pouch is ideal. Is there a way to mount the VOG pouches without losing the 2 utility pouches or MON pouch?
I have seen oldschool pictures of FSB in avizent smershes, who had the VOG pouches mounted on the shoulder harness up-front, over the piece of webbing connecting the shoulder strap going to the mag pouch. I assume they passed the webbing through the horizontal attachments straps on the pouch, but I don't know how the top end of the pouch was secured to the bottom of the shoulder strap, maybe it was high enough that the sternum strap passed under it. I hope my comment was understandable XD.
