Laura was the theme of a movie by the same name in the 40's starred Gene Tierny and Dana Andrews. Song was in a much slower tempo, not sure how BB managed to get these together but it is a great adaptation, stop time and the works. Great tap number
@LilMissSunshine5977 Hey I know your comment is from 5 years ago, but if you look on iTunes you can find this version of the song. 'Buster Brown's Laura' by Andy Wasserman. Otherwise you will find the slower jazz standard version, which is a very beautiful song composed by David Raskin
That's really cool - a really modern dance, i love your choreo, and you look so effortless, especially when you do things up on your toes which really is quite tyricky - i've been tap dancing for 11 years. Love the rhythm section at the starts and your turning step at 0:22. And do you do ballet!? If not, incredible stepping on your toes at 2:12!
You would also think that someone your age would not be creeping on RU-vid all day commenting on dance videos from students at her old highschool. Oh well, guess we're both wrong :)
I just wanted to let people know, we had three in class days to make this before roadshow. This dance was not about technique.. It was about entertaining 7th and 8th graders enough so that they would WANT to come to Mayfield. Losers :D
