You did not deserve the penalty. The marshals pov is often at odds with reality. Keep at it though. All drivers will get a bad call at sometime. You just have to hope it evens out across the season.
Great stuff! You'll find next season, having done the tracks before, you'll be much faster and have a real good time of it! Hoping I'll be out there as well but not got the time or cash for a full season

That def feels like a harsh penalty. Although you can see why it would be given as the Marshall probably only saw the end of the incident and not the beginning. Also - Hi - I'm Simon - we tangled in our second heat (heat 7). I was the guy who span in the mud. I would be interested to see your footage from that? My own footage doesn't show much. I see you got a +6 for it, which even to me feels a bit harsh, but maybe you deserved something? It seems as if you hit me wide, so it would have been an ABC, though I can see that you tried to let me through, but then I made such a mess of restarting on the slippery geoblock I ended up coming to a halt. So while technically, me coming to a halt = +6, I feel like a better driver than me would have held the kart and not spun at all.
Hi Simon, thanks for your insight. Yes, I came to the same conclusion about the final - if you were watching from the front or rear, you wouldn't have seen the concertina effect. Re: Heat 7 - I actually haven't reviewed that footage yet - let me have a look!
haha yeh shame. I was hoping my footage would look spectacular with all of that, but it doesn't look like much at all from the front! @@RacingDean side note - I think you are allowed to make penalty appeals in the finals. However they wont accept video evidence. So I guess the only way it would work is if the guy in front is willing to come to the stewards with you, and confidently say that he span in front of you and it wasn't your fault.
Great video showing just how a mistake by someone 4-5 karts ahead can have an impact on a race. The video clearly shows that the kart in front of you was starting his spin before you collected him and the penalties that you were awarded were not justified, hope race control get to see this.
Awe thanks. At Club100, judges decisions are final. And this was hardly the sharp end of the A Final... (Or even the front of the C Final...) So I'll let it go!

Lovely stuff. Im the guy from warwick (well, one of the two). First time doing sprints and man it was a good day! My hyper aggressive tyre warming was because first lap i went from 2nd to 4th in the first corner and was adamant about not doing it again haha
Good stuff! The tyre warming looked very impressive through the go pro - I think it exaggerates movement close to the lens. There's an epic bit of you at around 11 mins 30 secs
I like the video. Some good tips for the wet and decent footage. It I was about to race at this track in the wet this would be great prep. Keep it up mate.
