"I only shoot iconic heirloom portraits. Portraits that leave behind a legacy of love. I adore .... bold, fearless, empowering images that hold in stasis a moment of pure love. Emotional images that capture and hold your gaze!
Through communication with my creative clients, we can, together, create something so AMAZING... So BEAUTIFUL.. SO STUNNING... that it may just leave you in tears!
Appreciate your honest insights and talking us through from a veteran independent photographer's standpoint. I would have to say that my biggest challenge is communicating with people I've never met before in a very quick and concise manner under pressure, and basically ordering them / negotiating with them to do something different to get the best outcome of the photo. I would love if some of your future videos could capture your interactions with your clients 1-on-1, especially highlighting and capturing your best strategies of how to communicate with brand new people in time critical situations. Another problem I've encountered every time in my very brief time as a family photographer, is the moody and misbehaving teenage girl. 😆 How in the world do we deal with them?! Especially for someone that has never had kids of their own... 😆 Could your future videos possibly also show some examples of how you deal with misbehaving kids?... especially teenagers? Thank you!
Hun this video is old I use this now...www.etsy.com/listing/907757653/background-smoothing-photoshop-action I dont remember is this is the exact one but its so much easier and better
when should a portrait have natural realistic colors and when can we be more artistic and modify colors like adding filters presets and stuff like that? like I've seen fashion and modeling shots have a more artistic and colorful color grading than non model shoots. i also wanted to know , like how to photoshoot someone that is NOT a model but is not in an event or grad or family? please and thanks
Adding presets and filters is your choice as a photographer or if you're collaborating with a model or a client then you guys should come to an agreement as to when it's best to use presets and filters. When I'm doing a more artistic shoot and a client wants a particular look I will definitely use a preset but I will always save an image before a preset so that I can use that image later when that preset is out of style and they always go out of style so there's nothing wrong with using presets if that's what you're into you just have to remove them from your website or your portfolio when they go out of style which they normally do after a year or two. Normally I'm more apt to use a preset in a more artistic photoshoot session then I am for like a standard family portrait session or a standard headshot I always keep those with clean color
Normally the difference between shooting a model and shooting a normal person is that a model knows how to move and a person doesn't other than that there's really no difference if you follow me on tiktok I give a lot of posing advice and do a lot of posing tutorials.
Amazing tutorial! I have been photographing newborns for some time and always relied on actions. Moving to a new Mac wanted to try something basic, as said ‘time is money’. I’ve subscribed and will definitely look out for more tutorials from you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. x
Such a well put together and informative video. I think this is a must watch for anyone that’s just getting started with their business or in that beginning conversation with themselves about converting photography as a hobby to a full time job/ business
I appreciate your insightful and informative post about the considerations one should make when transitioning their hobby into a business. It was truly eye-opening and honest. I've shared it with several people, and it has had a significant impact on my perspective. Thank you very much for sharing this valuable information; it's greatly appreciated.
@@squareeyephoto haha ok. I photograph people to look their best not to insert stupid ideology into it. I’ll take you on in a shootout any time. Factually my work is superb from shooting to post production. You liquify on client request only-as an absolute last thing. You oppose it unless they absolutely want it at a cost. I bet you use some sort of skin smoothing to. Amatuer work.
@@000CloudStrife that's cool man....I'm glad you like bringing down people and spreading your negativity. That's an awesome philosophy in life. I've been shooting for thirty years and have been extensively published. There is room for everyone in this world.... good for you!
@@squareeyephoto publishing means nothing, awards mean nothing. Come on don’t you know how websites/magazines work? Very little ones are actually worth mentioning on your website. You can easily buy pages. Being a “master”photographer doesn’t mean anything. All that hard work means nothing when you only have half of the equation down. You either have a quality editor/retoucher on your team or you have put in the time and effort to learn from the top .1% in the industry when it comes to editing retouching. 99% of photographers have become a joke these days.
@@000CloudStrife awesome... Just so you know every time that you say something negative on someone's comments you are just driving the algorithm higher for that particular person, thank you! And that's awesome man I'm glad that you're successful at photography I'm glad that you do well and that you're proud of your artwork. Doesn't mean you have to bring anybody else down, just so you know. No reason to be angry at other people. Photography isn't just about photography. Having a photography business nowadays isn't just about spectacular photography it's also about SEO, website building, retouching, psychology, sales, marketing, and I've made it in this business for over 30 years when most of my competition has already fallen off. I'm proud of what I've done over the last 30 years in my business. My clients like my work and I like my work and you don't have to like it and I'm okay with that. I try my best to lift people and I have mentored many many people who appreciate it. You don't have to watch my videos. I have worked hard in my life to have what I have....nothing was handed to me.
the language you use in this video is weird. i think the posing advice is good put talking about “fat pockets” and problem areas and photo shop. idk doesn’t sit right with me.
Sorry....don't mean to be hurtful to anyone. Just trying navigate through making content and trying not to hurt anyone's feelings but still trying to be real....it's really tough. I've been plus size my whole life up until last year and I always searched for content like this but could never find any.
Hello I have a question I press control + shit + e and save it. Now i cant have my layers available to change.. I don´t now how to revert that. can you help me?
