Astonishing piece. It sounds both, somewhat very quaint, and very futuristic. A Perfect Mario Bros's soundtrack for a new adventure in the 18th century, to save Princessa Melocoton. It is almost hypnotizing.

Lorsque Haendel rencontra Domenico Scarlati ,il a été éberlué par l' extraordinaire virtuosité dont Scarlatti était capable ! Scarlatti était Sicilien et a été élevé à Naples: il devait avoir un tempérament focoso ! Cette interprétation m' ébaubit à mon tour par son manque d' étincelles !
Combien ne devront pas aller "se rhabiller" après une telle interprétation. Voudrait-on lui trouver un défaut, que le seul qui me vienne à l'esprit serait que depuis je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de louer davantage une autre interprétation : tant ...certains en font trop, d'autres pas assez.

From one of the editions: "The manuscript containing this Fandango attributed to Scarlatti is found in the Archivo Histórico Provincial de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Archivo Zárate Cólogan, Ms. 276. Seemingly, much care has not gone into the copying of this piece (wrong notes, missing ending etc.). Bookworms have rendered some texts difficult to read. "
