Hey i am new to the channel and like your content . I was wondering if you would be interested in posting videos playing games that deal with psychological aspects like doki doki or slay the princess .
I was just wondering this morning when the next episode would be posted... 0:49 Man, imagine calling Evangelion a show you can just put on and laugh at... 1:29 Gundam: The Witch from Mercury could be an interesting watch. It's my personal favorite. 2:02 Man, even after more than 25 years, I still whistle along with that opening every time. Really, this anime has a fantastic OP. It's still one of my favorites. 4:43 Nah, Satchmo goes down like a little bitch. The later angels are much, much worse. 5:20 This right here is one of the prime examples of what Anno wanted to do with Evangelion. In other mecha shows, Shinji would be immediately capable of fully using his Eva as soon as he got into the cockpit. Here, he can't even walk two steps before tripping and falling flat on his face. Also, the first sign that the pilot feels what the Eva feels. 7:53 Yep! Just like Shinji, we don't get to see what happened until later, after he's had time to start to recover from the experience. 9:57 The Unfamiliar Ceiling is a bit of a recurring theme in this show. 11:32 Don't forget the isolation shown by the relative size of the room and his bed and the complete lack of anyone else, or even signs that anyone is around. It's just his bed in a brightly lit room and some generic hospital machines. No one has left anything for him. There's no flowers in a vase, there's no chair by the bedside. We have no idea how long he's been out for, but clearly no one has come to visit him. 14:40 Sorry, that would be spoilers. 16:43 Yep! Gendo is the only one physically present in the room. 20:02 I mean, just imagine knowing that your arm was broken yesterday, but now you are looking at it and you aren't even wearing a sling., 20:47 Man, just look at the size of those rounds... They're nearly the size of her car! As for what they are loading, the city is full of hidden weapons emplacements. That building is actually a giant turret. 25:11 Shinji was 4-5 years old when he was left at the train station by Gendo. I don't believe a specific time has ever been given, just that it was shortly after his mother's death. 26:04 Yeah. The most Misato ever really does is make some teasing comments about him peeping on her and such rather than make any kind of advance towards him. 28:07 She wants to look after him. She can tell that he needs it and she's a deeply caring person with a strong motherly instinct, even if she's never had any kids herself. 31:41 The City Rises! One of the most fantastic scenes in the show and a great moment for Shinji, letting him see with his own eyes what he saved by being willing to get in the robot. 35:27 A little of column A, a little of column B. She spends a lot of time at work and she's got a lot of trauma and not exactly the healthiest coping mechanisms. 39:32 There are a number of fanfics out there that posit that Shinji intentionally "lost" for a bunch of the chores so that he wouldn't have to deal with Misato's lax standards. 44:08 PenPen the Hotsprings Penguin! Top tier character, right there. 45:25 And here we have what my friends and I call "The Toothpick Incident", one of the funnier instances of convenient censorship in this show. 45:52 Misato is aware that there are limits to what is reasonable. She just isn't always aware of where those limits are. 48:44 Kinda. Each pilot has their designated Eva for a reason. And while it's possible to switch designated pilots, it's not a simple process. 51:50 And now that Shinji has finally had a chance to start to really process things, we finally get to see the actual battle. 52:35 Now that Shinji's not awake anymore, the Eva is out to play. And it is not happy. 54:29 Eva-01 just facetanked a blast that was blowing huge holes in the city and wasn't even scratched. That is why the Evangelions are needed to fight the Angels. Because nothing else could stand up to that kind of attack. 54:36 "Oh, you wanna break my arm? Well, lets see how you like it!" Also, that is a super brutal way to go about breaking someone's arms... Those things are only hanging on by a few stands of flesh... 56:11 All of the pilots have "unique" connections to their Evas. But Unit-01 is specially unique. And, as Gendo said earlier, all he has to do is sit in the seat. 57:32 Yeah... So, that wasn't the Eva's head that was being lifted earlier in the episode. That was the top front of it's helmet. Also, way back in Episode 01, when showing Shinji the Eva for the first time, Ritsuko did describe it as an "artificial human" and "cyborg". So it's not exactly a secret that the Evas are at least partially biological. 59:52 NGE uses silence and still frames a lot. Partly as a cost saving measure, and partly to let you sit there and really experience the moment. 1:00:47 I mean, it's not much, but it's more than anyone else has done for him in years. She's at least trying to give him reassurance and praise, even if that might not be the kind of reassurance and praise he needs most right now.
I think one of my favorite moments in this episode is how they animated the various steps of Laios being convinced by his party to give it up for now for his party's sake. When his eyes dart from left to right, as if he was desperately trying to still find a good reason to continue despite his injuries or his safety. And then there is a wholesome group hug with poor Marcille in a sad state XD
Oh gosh were 😭 Were 10 episodes in on twitch and now I'm like 👀👀👀

I saw the 1st 2 episodes in 1996 and I immediately went out of my way to get more people to see them. And even now they still hold. Such good memmories!
@@psyculturists It is one of the most influential anime ever made and was able to maintain a huge fandom even 20 years after the last episode aired before the Rebuild movies injected new blood into the franchise.
20:53 What are they loading, you ask? Good question. The Schwerer Gustav, which was the biggest rail artillery Hitler (or anyone else ever) could afford was 800 mm in diameter. Those shells seem to be approximately double of that size, based on Misato's height. As to what else to watch: Gundam SEED! Your main subject of analysis isn't the MC however, but a side character named Flay Allster.
Shadow Garden Event of S1 ep 23 after subaru killed by julius …Darkness. Everything was pitch-black. Thrown into this world, he lost his sense of direction as he felt like he was drifting in water. He couldn’t move his body. He couldn’t feel his limbs. He couldn’t even trust his eyes or ears to function. His consciousness was faint. His thoughts were hazy, as if they were spilling out of his brain. Where am I? Who am I? What happened to have caused this? Those were the only questions to surface as he floated and swayed in the darkness. “─I love you.” Even in this darkness, his heart had felt that voice strongly. Thumping his eardrums that were not there. Throbbing his heart that should not be there. Even touching his soul, of which he was unsure of its existence. The voice reached out to him directly. His heart was swept away by those crazy emotions, and mourned. It sounded terribly fragile, heart-wrenching, and filled with unbearable loneliness. Its affection, so seared into its soul, seemed to have made it strange. Had I hands, I would touch the owner of that voice. Had I a mouth, I would call out the name of that voice. Had I arms, I would like to have held the owner of that voice. Had I legs, I would have rushed to the side of the owner of that voice. Had I a body, I would be determined to never leave the owner of that voice alone. All of it could not come true. He was lacking a hand, a mouth, an arm, a leg, or a body to do such things. The same feelings… No, it is even more passionate. When nurtured, those emotions grew several times more, his love, soon became sins. …“Sloth,” for being unable to wipe away her tears of sorrow. …“Lust,” for wanting to reunite and become one with each other. …“Gluttony,” for wanting to consume and possess everything. …“Greed,” for seeking love, demanding it, and taking it all. …“Wrath,” at the unreasonableness and absurdity disallowing it. …“Pride,” despising everyone and everything except for her. …“Envy,” simply at the world that surrounds the lovely girl. Aware of it, he had overwhelmed the world which was covered in darkness with emotions. It was filled with love. Suddenly, the space which supposedly had nothing, contorted - time, which was irreversible, had turned back. He came to an understanding. He understood that it was starting again. A light was born at the end of the darkness, and if he walked towards it, the world would begin once again. “─I love you.” Turn your back against the voice, and walk. I want to turn around, but I mustn’t turn around. …But someday, I will surely take that hand. “─I love you.” Natsuki Subaru continued on until the end while the loving voice kept calling out to him.
1:27:53 Can I add something,I'm believing in Puck that he Knows a lot Bcoz In frozen bonds , 1) Sometimes at certain frames we will see only sentences . In bluray version of frozen bonds we will listen echinda voice when those frames are displayed. 2) Puck memories are sealed after making contract with Emilia In S1 Ep 18. 1) There is small cut content during puck and geuse conversation. In that conversation puck mentioned echinda. So looks like puck know about echinda 2) Also puck mentioned make 1000 of hands which half of the satella(he mentioned Satella not WoE .my theory is puck aware of satella personalily disorder) would . Also after the death of Emilia in that episode. I think the puck gained his memories back . In s2 ep 24 ,.during betty flashback Betty mentioned puck was different than before ( bcoz of contract with Lia) also In many conversation puck mentioned betty was his sister . So it proved 400 years back puck and betty created by echinda .
Small Question: Are you aware of Terminology "Shadow Garden" ? . If you don't know about it. Then Sometimes subaru didn't immediately respawn, during that time subaru will move to the shadow eternal realm where his consciousness doesn't feel body parts .At that time subaru will see a shadow figure (as you know it's satella ) . Then later he will respawn Shadow Garden events S1 ep 7 after he jumps from cliff S1 ep 11 S1 ep 15 S1 ep 18 S1 ep 23 S1 ep 25
"Gatchaman crowds" anime is such a treat in Sociology, pretty unique and quirky power rangers type of show, focusing on media at large, but i doubt it will be in polls for analysing. It's not exactly popular or well known.
I remember senior year HS, like most i was never getting enough sleep. On a saturday morning i was driving somewhere and the first 7 min of the route was the same route to my part time job at icerink. That morning, i remembered leaving the house, and then i was exiting the freeway like i was going to work. Zero memory of inbetween. Had to backtrack to get to my actual destination that day. Does that qualify as disassociation?
Subaru has a great life in the new world. He is a literal knight, lives in a mansion and has the girl of his dreams plus respect from multiple high ranking people. Subaru life only improved from going to new world.
In mental health regard he didn't have too much improvement. I guess he kinda did overcome some of his problems from the old world which can be called an improvement if he hadn't developed other trauma to replace the old ones. Although, if we don't focus on his mental health, then I agree that his day to day life outside the main plot improved drastically. He has a home, a source of income, a big group of friends who accept him for who he is, and his social standing is very good. Unfortunately, he paid too big of a price to get all this.
@@psyculturists maybe it has some words that are banned on the channel in it? I did mark it as season 1 & 2 discussion and it appears in the newer comments but not in the regular comment section but I thought that’d be fine since the after discussion also went into season 1 and 2 stuff
@@SmthPositive_ hmmm that’s weird I’ll double check like on stream or here on YT cause here on YT I shouldn’t have any words banned. I know on Twitch the mods select some words that may be spoilers and like put a review on them before they’re allowed through the chat but on YT I haven’t messed with the settings so let me see ❤️
@@psyculturistsI’ll just try if like this then 5:00 I think it’s easy for people who didn’t have any issues growing up to think there’s nothing to be worried about at that age but knowing Subarus past and myself having family issues and experiencing bülli3d several years starting at 6th grade things in school can feels so big as if your life is over before you even become a teenager. Classmates having better marks or getting a better internship, not having many friends or anywhere to go to when shit hits the fan at home and that’s just my experience I’m sure there’s much more -Fun Fact! The song playing in the convenience store is called “SHOOTING STAR” it’s by Nash Studio someone actually went and found out recently on twitter. Very sneaky and wild 8 years later there’s still new stuff you can pick up on even in the first episode -I think Subaru is also able to touch Puck and Puck is so friendly with him because his high affinity to spirits that Julius mentioned later this season. That’s also why Subaru was able to be possessed by Betelgeuse who’s a spirit that forcefully makes contracts with his vessels and being able to find Betty as well as having the same magic element as her which is Yin -I think the kid started crying more because Emilia resembles the witch of envy in Frozen Bond the kid with the parents also was scared of her despite Emilia saving her and her parents form a Mabeast in the ice forest -I also think the guy in the slums was more friendly and open to Subaru the 2nd time around because he didn’t have Emilia with him but that also very well he because Subaru already knew that guy is approachable from the previous loop -About forgotten history and it being written by the victors. Even the stories about the witch beasts are incorrect and everything bad that’s magic related got blamed on Satella in this case they were actually created by Daphne the witch of gluttony which we find out in season 2. I’m actually wondering if Pandora also did some reality bending to aid that so she can operate without anything thinking any other witches are still around -Regarding how safe the royal candidates are. We have Felt who fair enough wasn’t one at the time but she would’ve been assassinated by Elsa, Emilia d!ed many times as well due Elsa, the witches cult or the great rabbit appearing in the sanctuary which we never seen but it was implied by Echidna that they leave nothing behind but a deserted field once they’re done eating. And last not but least the crushing situation with my mommy Crusch who already got her ability to lead more or less taken away from her together with her memories. Who knows about Anastasia maybe her enemies could be business rivals back home in Kararagi trying to get rid of her or Priscilla… Well from what we’ve seen so far I could see someone having issues with her and not wishing her well for a number of reason Very happy to have you back and extremely excited for Season 3 starting in 2 days!!!!!
Is there gonna be any particular schedule for episode releases? This one was great, I can’t wait for episode 2! Also, will you be reacting to episode 1 of season 3 on release or wait until you finish your rewatch?
One thing I always wonder about rezero, are his return by death and being isekaied to lugnica actually related? I mean, we know there are other people who have been summoned to lugnica, we also know that there is some relationship between emilia and satela. So here is the question, did subaru get return by death when he was summoned to lugnica, or was he given it when him and emilia were dieing and some entity saw how much he wanted to protect emiia and that he would die for her, however many times it was necessary?
A five hour analysis of just the first episode, that’s why you’re the GOAT! There is so much to analyze in Re:Zero, and you haven’t even read the source material yet. The novel is a lot more detailed and goes much deeper into the characterization and worldbuilding. So I definitely recommend you to read it eventually as I’m interested to see if any of your thoughts would change.
Thank you jamcho you’re a GOAT 🐐 honestly when I was first thinking of doing this I didn’t imagine there was so many more layers to touch on that I had missed my first time around. It’s absolutely a phenomenal and well written series like wowwww 🤯
@@psyculturists Re:Zero is a special case where a rewatch might just be more enjoyable than a first watch. The author seeds so many things throughout the series that take on entirely new meanings with future context. Looking forward to your rereaction!
Subaru getting isekai'd being a trauma had me immediately thinking of the first trial in season 2. Even if it didn't hit him, or any of the viewers, initially, he was robbed of even a few parting words with his parents and even left on not exactly amicable turns. The anime hasn't shown it, but that certainly nagged him a lot, forunately he ultimately got closure through Echidna.
Please please please episode-by-episode analysis fo Days with my Stepsister! It's such a deeply thoughtful, layered look at when two teenagers who were strangers suddenly become a family because their divorced parents got married now they live together. It's an incredible masterclass of a romance drama with tons of psychological insights and NONE of the anime tropes you'd think of from romance animes, let alone ones dealing with stepsiblings. Shot and directed more like an arthouse cinema!
