for people who made this pattern: how warm was this? I am going to make this for my sister so she can wear it in ballet class and i'm not sure if it would be too cold or too warm. If you could give me a temperature you would and wouldn't wear this in that would be amazing. Thank you!
@@chocolatecake8089 the best way to describe it is as perfect for fall like weather where it’s cool outside and it provides just the right amount of warmth for being outside. Also if you’re inside and the temp in your house is between 63-70 degrees, it would be comfortable indoors. You can also use different fibers instead of acrylic yarn. Cotton is also an option if you don’t want it to be too warm. Crochet fashion is very breathable due to the holes created so it’s not a suffocating sweat inducing type of product. I hope that’s helpful for you.
@@blitzedbabe1677 for the calf panel, make it to fit that. When you get to the thigh portion, add the increases every row until it fits the thigh. You can also add elastic around the top when the project is finished.
When I do 70 chains to start off with, the length is 6in above the knee . But i realized that it gets shorter below the knee when I crochet a few rows ! Is this where it’s suppose to be ? Below the knee ? Or above the knee ? If so , do I start off with more than 70 chains ? 😕 I’m 5’1 and weigh about 120-125
It is suppose to be above the knee especially if you are 5’1. I am 5’4 and weigh about 135 lbs I always chain 70 and it looks just like the picture in the thumbnail each time. I am not sure what is happening when you crochet but maybe you can send me a picture to my email and I can help you further.
I’m glad you like them!!! These are so popular every year around Autumn 🍂 I have made and sold SOOOOO many lol but they are super cute, warm, and comfortable.
Such a great pattern, but that background music is SO ANNOYING and super distracting to the point that sometimes it's hard to hear what you're saying. I had a hard time getting through the video because of the terrible music.
I’m not showing how to do the stitches. I’m showing how to use the stitches you already know to make this item. If you need slow tutorials on how to crochet basic stitches, there are plenty on RU-vid that can help 🫶🏽
2:37 hello I know I’m REALLY late but I am just watching your video. I have a question - am I doing something wrong when my pattern starts to curve into the round slightly? When you laid yours out it was flat and even and straight I LOVE your tutorial 😊
Hi Ashonti. This scarf looks lovely and I want to try it - I'm new to crochet. I have one question, did you double up the yarn as it looks like you are crocheting with double the yarn, so are you using both skeins at once...? Thank you.
Maybe I missed it, but whats the average qt. of skeins used? obvi itll be a little more/less adjusting for size, and maybe you stated it somewhere and i just missed it sorry if i did 😅
@@NicosenjuThe elastic will go around the top rim of the sock right? Also, I would simply make the elastic slightly smaller than the worth of top rim of the sock?
Hi!! And thank you for watching! A quick tip for pricing is to start with a base for what you want to make per hour. This price is totally up to you and what you feel like your time is worth. Then add in the expenses for the item. In this case how much money do you pay to buy the yarn for this sock. Shipping costs need to be added or you can have the customer pay for shipping. So for example let’s say you charge $15 per hour + $8 for yarn + $6 for shipping. It takes 4 hours let’s say so that’s $74 per pair. I hope that helps you get a general idea of what and how to charge ❤️
I LOVE the fact you don't connect it at the beginning. I started making on last night and it twisted and I unraveled it. This works for me. Thank you!!
I cant find any thigh high's online to buy that are thick-thigh friendly. I ama bodybuilder with big legs. I really cannot find any meant for thighs that go past the knee, so I have resorted to making my own 🙃. It seems easy enough to adjust the leg length, but how do you make the trunk to fit wider?
