Because I have always been a railway enthusiast, a very high percentage of my recording was directed towards trains and railways. I am not a professional camera man, just a private enthusiast. My films are not of high quality but provide a simple record of each location visited. I thought it would be a good idea to share some of this footage captured over the last 20 years in the hope that it could provide interesting feedback from other enthusiasts who perhaps could comment on their own experiences of the subject locations.
Many of the railways featured in this series have changed greatly over the years, some have closed and others completely disappeared from the landscape.
Please provide your feedback, experiences, comments, corrections or any other input positive or negative. It is all welcome.
I hope you enjoy the videos. I plan to post new material from time to time as and when time itself permits. GALBeadon
They say they were going to bring a Rapid Rail for us to see trains running here once again, but that was a mamaguy because that project cost millions of dollars and could not be afforded so it was scrapped.
That was my first and last train ride here in Trinidad in 1966 just in time before they stopped them where my late uncle had taken my sisters, my cousin and myself on the trip.
I appreciate this historical record. As a child my parents would tell me about their adventures riding on the train and my dad preserved a train ticket in our family album and apparently my great grandfather was a checker for the railway. None of this compares to seeing the documents and archival footage.
When I was young I used to say, "bus terminus!" I'm old enough to remember the wooden walkover outside City Gate! This country sweet too bad! If only some citizens would appreciate it more.😢
I used to live in Evans Street, Curepe and the trains used to pass in front of the house. My elderly grandmother used to wait for the train to pass on Fridays at 12:30 pm. That was the time for her weekly prayer. And I traveled on that last train to San Fernando, the 5:08, coming off at St. Gill’s Halt.I still have dreams of the trains.
Public Transport Bus Service was and is still the worst decision the government ever made and we the people continue to pay dearly for this. No vision and fore sight by our various governments except for Mr Manning idea of re introducing a public Train System which was put on hold.

Last train . . . to San Fernando Last train . . . to San Fernando And if you miss . . . this one Tanty shop goh burn down so Last Train . . . to San Fernando
Mr Beadon,,, This is truly a gem of a video sir....I thank you much for the yesteryear pictures of the beautiful trains we had back then.. This video should be in the school curriculum...for our history is where the youths of today may well appreciate what we had and where we came from,,, our forefathers may have a great part to play in this history... Your commentary on the whole on the journey to Arima and the window views of all the Old and famous structures are incredible.. Simply beautiful!!!. I'm a lover of History..and can't wait to start my Bus rides across Trinidad with my TTARP CARD... God Bless someone as special as you...FOR YOUR GREAT WORKS.🤗🤗🤗😍🏚🏚🏡🏡🏠🏠🏤🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🎶🎵🎶🎶🎼💞💞😸
I visited the Barquisimeto station, the CTC room and climbed into the cabin of the GP 9 to chat with the engineer. There was a good restaurant at the station. All that was many years ago.
I got to fire her for a day in 97. I had a friend who got me in the cab and as we were both railroaders it was easy for us to jump into this. It's really sad that this great locomotive is just sitting in parts due to the fracture of a major casting. I hope that they can raise the money and get her fired up again
The Truro to Falmouth line is a local train 🚊 service runs everyday including public holidays except Christmas 🎄 🤶 🧑🎄 🎅 Day and Boxing 🥊 Day. At present 💝 updated Tuesday 1st August 2023, there are 2 car class 150/2 are used on the Maritime Line. There used to be 2 car class 150/1 and 1 single car class 153/3 were on the route that ran from Truro to Falmouth via Penryn. Class 150/1 has left GWR - Great Western Railway 🚃 in late ⏰ December 2018 could have perhaps 🤔 had been on Monday 31st December 2018 (New Year’s Eve) went to NT - Northern and all class 153/3 has left GWR - Great Western Railway 🚃 perhaps 🤔 on Sunday 31st March 2019 and went to various other train 🚆 operators. GWR - Great Western Railway 🚃 runs every half hour on Mondays to Saturdays and public holidays, Sundays only is every hour and finally no service on 25th and 26th December are both Christmas 🎄 🤶 🧑🎄 🎅 Day and Boxing 🥊 Day. There are 6 railway 🚃 stations 🚉 between Truro and Falmouth via Penryn are Truro, Perranwell, Penryn, Penmere, Falmouth Town and finally Falmouth Docks. The short passing loop 🔁 has happened on the Maritime Line since October 2008 to allow 2 trains 🚆 🚆 to pass each other at the same time 🕰️ has happened for almost 😅 15 years. All trains 🚊 on the Maritime Line has standard class accommodation only and conveys a toilet 🚽 🚻. At present 💝 the class 150/2 are 150202/207/216/219/221/232-234/238/239/243/244/246-249/261/263/265/266. There used to be class 150230/236/240-242/251/253/254 in the southwest of England 🏴 until Sunday 10th December 2006 worn the Wessex Trains 🚆 livery and finally went to ATW - Arriva Trains 🚆 Wales 🏴 had been repainted into the first and second Arriva livery and on Sunday 14th October 2018 the company ATW - Arriva Trains 🚊 Wales 🏴 was altered to TFW - Transport For Wales 🏴 and are all wearing the TFW - Transport For Wales 🏴 livery. Class 158d also used to be used on the Maritime Line. The railway 🚃 staff have good 👍 rules to decide which type of trains 🚊 runs on the Truro to Falmouth (The Maritime Line) because it’s their job. I love 💗 the Maritime Line. I’ve been on the Maritime Line in both years 1995 and 2020 on the 2 car class 150/2. It makes me feel happy 😊. 👍 🤛 🤜 😀 😃 😁
Bro I live in princess town but I wish I could have seen more history I may be a revival of the railway it would have been useful for school children and another passenger services
El Gran Ferrocarril de Venezuela, via de tres pies y medio. La Guaira y Caracas, tres pies. Gran Ferrocarril del Tachira, vía métrica. Mucha diversidad.
