Can u show ur antena for receiving? Do u use egg isolators? Or how u isolate it from ground Also isnt 400m to long for mw, I thought antena has to be quather of the center frequency I am asking cuz I want to put an antena up myself (and hope it could drive a crystal radio) but I am a bit confused on antena length Some say, the longer the better, others say antena has to be tuned to specific frequency, so I am confused
That iis the same frequency of radio Caroline orfordness island off of Orford village Southeast England in Sussex. I have pulled in Manx radio 1368 KHZ medium wave Daugless, Isle of Man Northern England at around 2:00 am Eastern time zone North eastern seaboard US. Eventually the signal got buried by two US stations on adjoining US medium frequencies on their side of 1368 KHZ in the US medium wave band plan.
@@VickyGeagan Usually Radio Caroline comes in very strong here but this new antenna was directed towards India and due to the length of it it’s now very directional. Manx Radio on 1368 I can get here too. That’s great you’ve heard it there.
@@shortwavelisteningforbegin418 It’s a common catch here though, last night heard it again. Was listening for about 1 hour just as the sun sets it comes through.
Interesting frequency to watch. In the UK I often listened to BBC and Premier Christian Radio fading in and out. In Slovakia it's mostly a Greek pirates there. Thank you for inspiration - I'll have a look at night.
Nearest in my index is 1431 kHz ; Radio Ukraine International from Mykolaiv @ 1600 kW Transmitting on top of Voice of Russia Wilsdruff @ < 250 kW Nothing for the frequency on you VFO. Best from Wirral Nr Liverpool UK.
UA radio from Mykolaiv ceased it signal many years ago. On 1434 you can hear an harmonic from 1413 of russian radio transmitter located in occupied part of Moldova
What time was that? There should have been English news at this time or 5 minutes later. If at 17:30 UTC, I remember English bulletin used to go first, followed by the Hindi one. But it seems there's always room to reverse the order 🤔 Anyway, good catch 👍
@@ArnieDXer Not noticed it before as I usually check 1431 for VOA but yes the same as 1413 kHz. It was noted way back on a car radio in Vienna in 2007 it seems.
Had to comment here, because all the other videos have comments disabled I was wondering if u ever tried decoding the time from the time stations u had received? I know SODiRA sdr can decode DLF (u just feed audio to it, dont have to use its sdr features at all)
