@ADKMuskyFoolonFly63 glad you asked. For me the new TFO Solution has blown me away. I'm doing a video for that rod soon and I'm going to do a variety of flies and test how well and how accurately it places those flies. I've been using it for a few months and it's out performing my $1k rods!
I have some nice $1000 rods too but personally won’t pay $1000 for a rod. Bought many great rods used for much less. TFO hits the sweet spot of great quality for good price. Looking forward to your review. Does it have as much backbone as Axiom II? Does it cast the variety of bass streamers as well as axiom II??
@ADKMuskyFoolonFly63 it does! But what I really like about it is that there are no dead spots in the cast. So it handles the line as well at 20ft as it does at 40 ft, and it does at 60ft. But this rod has no trouble dumping all of the line off the reel. It's a Dynamite stick that sets the bar for any rod made over seas.
@@LostAngler thank you so much for all your feedback. One other question-have you been able to compare it to the Blitz?? and how do they compare if you did?
@ADKMuskyFoolonFly63 I am a huge fan of the Blitz and I used it all last fall for Redfish. What I'll say is that the solution is a nicer rod, not taking anything away from the Blitz. But that makes since as it does cost more. The Solution bends deeper into the blank and that to me makes it a better streamer rod. The Blitz is very very fast has more of a distance game mindset. That's a great thing in Saltwater where I'm trying to be as accurate as possible at a further distance while sight fishing. So different environments in mind in the making. But I wouldn't hesitate to use the Solution in the Saltwater or for Redfish and if you're fishing in stained water where you're having to present a bigger fly closer to the boat, you might prefer the solution. I don't think you'll be disappointed in either one. There's not a big price jump in the rods so I suggest casting both.
I want to find these auto tabs from Bennet for a 15 ft stingray but I could not see that they have them. The other ones are so expensive and don't think they would do a better job save maybe for leveling the boat sideways?
@franciscogutierrez6920 me to , just bought sea pro 180cc 115 mercury 4 stroke. Bow very high on hole shot. Unsafe . I bought a se400 hydrofoil but haven't installed yet. Trying to understand what's best . Need help deciding also . Thanks
@barrymcgee3583 that hydro foil should fix it just fine. Both the tabs and foils do the same thing but the tabs also help the boat stay level from port to starboard
Great information but I still don’t know what transducer I need. I have a Garmin 102sv that came with a Garmin 54 TM. I do not want to use the transom mount. I have an existing TH and hope a new one will fit there. My question is what are the choices for CV and SV with a TH or in Hull transducer?
Nice redneck tie. As is often stated, innovators don't invent patterns, they invent "platforms" from which many variations can arise. Mr. Edmonds deserves the credit, of course, because he developed the platform. We must always be aware that, as young men, we "discover" things that other generations have known for years. Such is the case with using clear nail polish for head cement. In many circles, this is called "hitting it with some Sally". (referring to Sally Hansen nail polish, probably the most widely used clear polish around) Go out and explore the World, young man, just remember it has already been discovered, the wheel has been re-invented several times, to where it is now round, lightening is electricity, and fire can be our friend.
Well they did a ton of testing in New Jersey for striped bass. Check out the Winston Feild Notes on their RU-vid Channel and they really go in depth on it.
Let's say you are coming from using kayaks majority of your boating career. Which is easier? The tiller? The center console? or stick steer? I love this set up especially when using the boat solo. Seems so simply and easy to use. Plus I assume lighter vs the center console setup.
I prefer a small boat to fish like a big boat so I guess my preference goes to stick steering. It's there while you're running, but as soon as you kill the engine there's nothing to walk around or move out of the way. And stick steering can be positioned so the driver is up front. It helps with hole shot and getting up on plane fast vs bury the ass end deeper in the water. Forward seating is ALWAYS better for running solo. Always.
I want to say I love your videos. I think this would be the setup for me. I think my wife would find that front seat the most comfortable just for cruising around the Sebastian River or the Indian River and I could use it solo when she is not there.
Crazy how the price has gon up on these in 3 years i thought it was the other way prices drop as they get older and new atuff comes out i didnt pay full price but they are 450 now good thing i get a discount i got mine for 155

I have the 112 36v longest model (72)riptide. I just realized there was such thing as lift assist as mine didn’t come with it. Is it easy to install on the shaft? I’m up front of my Maycraft 2550 in choppy conditions 40 degree weather. It gets heavy after doing it multiple times a day looking for tog in nj winters.

You were recommended by Bryce on FlyFishers of NW Florida, I am glad they recommended your shop. I need to stop by your store and get some flies one day.
Not sure the title should be improved clouser minnow. The OG has caught so many fish I don’t think the improved label is justified. Maybe clouser variation would have been better.
They do a great job with some pitfalls. Because they auto deploy at low speed which is why you bought them to get you out the hole and stop proposing that is good however if you fish out wide and find the wind has unexpectedly blown up and you need to punch it home through over a meter of swell and your bow is roughly a meter high and you have to back down to just planing speed to deal with the sea your tabs will be fully deployed when you want them out of the water and when fully deployed into such a swell and or chop it will make them come over the bow as you punch it so they can be a little dangerous in the wrong conditions.
