Matt brings you the innovation stories that everyone is talking about, in an understandable way by blending the key facts with high-production value and RU-vidr storytelling. We call it innovation infotainment.
Our stories come in a multi-media format, you can watch on RU-vid, read on medium, or listen to as a Podcast.
@@mattcsmith I think that it is (sometimes) necessary to explicitly counter the more obvious, current (but problematic) alternatives in the narrative. "Now the way that most companies address this problem is X, but that creates expensive and painful problems Y and Z - we've solved that! Here's how." I coach a lot of deep tech teams.
A CTO must have good business acumen. I've worked with technical cofounders who dont know how to sell or communicate the value of their products. It's frustrating and embarrassing.
If you happen to be pitching an "inventive idea" , is it safe to say that we should patent it before we pitch to any investors? That way they dont just say no, and run and take our idea???
hey, loved this video. in this video you talk about how founders should know their numbers, now what are these 'numbers' specifically that we should know about, can you list them in detail?
I have been on a tear watching how to make a pitch deck the past week. This is probably the best video. I'm gonna stop for now and work on my deck :) Thanks Matt!
The market trend can turn around very quickly. In fact, the indexes often switch from a bear market to a bull market when the news is at its worst and the mood of investors is at its lowest point. I read an article of people that grossed profits up to $150k during this crash, what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist?
Investors should be cautious about their exposure and be wary of new buys, especially during inflation. Such high yields in this recession is only possible under the supervision of a professional or trusted advisor.
True, initially I wasn't quite impressed with my gains, opposed to my previous performances, I was doing so badly, figured I needed to diversify into better assets, I touched base with a portfolio-advisor and that same year, I pulled a net gain of 550k...that's like 7times more than I average on my own.
“Angela Lynn Shilling’’ is the licensed fiduciary I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
Thanks for sharing, I just looked her up on the web and I would say she really has an impressive background in investing. I will write her an e-mail shortly.
Preparing for an Entrepreneurship competition by watching videos like this---super helpful! Essentially, you're given a short, industry based case with a problem of some sort and you have three hours to create a slide presentation with two other teammates showcasing your start-up to a panel of judges/board of investors.
A tip for your next video. - show the slide examples of what you’re talking about when you’re talking about them. Most people would have become e very disengaged quickly watching this video. Don’t you know the rule of ‘show and tell’???
This was incredible content. I rarely leave comments and I watched lots of pitch deck explanations. You're was easily the best. I will check out your channel. Cheers.
I really appreciate the valuable and relevant information you set forth in this video, I'm currently creating my Pitch Deck, for my Cash-Back Program, and this is giving me the relevant body of information that a funder needs before they can move forward. It's much appreciated. Thank you.
Amazing video, Matt! Very infomative! A quick question, can we use these for IPO roadshow? I am a graduate aspiring to make career in finance, I've a assessment centre upcoming up so was wondering we use these to pitch an IPO.
Yes you can! But you would also need a more in depth follow up for IPO documentation and things to follow as a short pitch would be too short. And you should thinking about what your audience wants to see
