In fact, consider this: He did not PIMP the girls in the traditional sense, involving the need for maths (he has his own business team, he's the talents, not the accountant). He writes songs, so if you're pinning this on an inability to communicate, impress or manipulate, that's off the table too. It's very likely that his illiteracy was exaggerated. To convince those girls that he was soft in the head, and needed a younger girlfriend that wouldn't outshine him intellectually. Much like his numerous accusations of childhood abuse in his autobiography, I believe his illiteracy is over-reported, exaggerated and used as a trump card for sympathy and manipulation.
