This is amazing!!! How does this not have more views/likes? @Jnewboycustoms can you provide instructions or any insight on how to do this? I have a 1/18 Ju 87 and would love to turn one into a G version
I just happen to be in the process of converting my 21st-century Tiger in a similar way and didn’t realize until I got very late in the process that the wheels need to be changed out. I have a bravo team Tiger on the way but was wondering if you had any more detailed information on how you went about doing the wheel swap? I realize this video is about four years old but I figured I would ask anyway. Love your model.
Well I can tell you that you have to slice down the side of the tiger on the bottom, don’t cut the individual wheels off. I would use a Dremel and delicately cut the bottom. Then hot glue it maybe with some extra bracing to the other chassis. To do it right you’re also need to chop up the turret and add/delete some items.
HAH! I'm a former M-1 Abrams Tanker and I am doing that too! LOL :D VERY Cool to know a fellow "Grunt" getting into the same stuff I am! :D And Yea... the JAGDPANTHER is my ALL TIME FAV Tank too! :D
Do you find any issues with the accuracy of the 1/18 scale of 21c Tiger I's? I believe either the turret is too wide or the whole tank isn't wide enough.
In "my times" (Middle of the 80's) Halo, an airbrush was very, very expensive, but today is not. Today, you can buy a "kit" with compressor for about $200,00 or less. If you are a beginner, you don't need to buy an "Iwata deluxe 2000xxYY", for example. But, in the future, YOU will want to improve your skill, and you can buy an better airbrush and a better compressor. Actually, I use my self made compressor, with an old fire extinguisher tank and an old refrigerator motor. But if you want to paint your models with a paint brush, go ahead! I see better models painted with a brush that with an airbrush. Remember, modelling is about made you happy, not another people.
Looks so awesome; You did a terrific job on it, Jon! I have a Torro upper & lower hulls coming in the mail; I want to do a replica of #331 from the old Aberdeen collection. I used to walk around that tank all the time wishing I had a 1/16 version of it.
You prolly dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me atm then you can watch pretty much all the latest movies and series on Instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf recently =)
they didn't build a 76mm gun in that turret untill after the war.., I could be wrong though, in which case, point me to your source of information please
Yea, your mistaken. Look at 0.30 of the video, it shows one in Germany. Look at 0.16 for more information. Thats taken directly out of Ospreys Modeling the 76mm Sherman Book. Check it for their sources. Thanks
