Paid almost $300 on the clipper whale tour couple weeks ago. Same area. Didn't see anything half as cool as this. Actually I only seen wildlife and Grey whale spouts and seals and porpoise- everything you can see from the ferry and even the dock. Complete rip off. I'm so glad you were able to witness this. Also the tour was so bad people were sleeping and hand to god- children were reading books. Real live books. How cool for you guys, though, to witness this
No fault of the clipper, I had same family experience about 12 years ago but I was the only person entertained. The orcas rely on the return to Salmon, even the T-Biggs who prefer seals & sealions but those creatures move about more often on the return of salmon to the region. Sorry you didn’t have fun.
They typically do slow down when it’s possible. In this case, the camera angle is deceiving. The vessels are quite far from the whales. It’s a very busy pass and the currents can be extremely strong, the captains do their best to keep the safety of the passengers and whales in mind.
My son is special needs and he loves Orcas they are one of his favorite kinds of whales 🐋🐳🐬 he first saw them in the Warner Brothers movie 🎥🎬📽📼💿📺 Free Willy and has been fond of them ever since. He also heard the second Free Willy movie that J-pod was the pod Willy lived in!
