While I agree the Champion sucks, you get a better bang for your tonnage investment by replacing the AC5 you slotted with a medium cannon. That nets you three extra tons, keeps your cannon range at the same range bracket as your SRMs (which you can now afford extra ammo and an SRM 6 instead of an SRM 4) and medium lasers, and gives just a little extra burst damage. That said, the Champion is bad because it's effectively a slightly more robust medium mech given it's only 5 tons larger than a wolverine, and at that point, you're better off just running the Wolverine so you can throw the extra 5 tons allowance upgrading a Marauder on your battle line to an Awesome and have the Wolverine play bodyguard to it while it destroys everything at range.
Nice guidelines. Maybe I am wrong, but as far as I have read and noticed, picking Telepathic Training technology instead of the tempting Heightened Intelligence makes many of your spy missions just low risk, thus stealing technology missions also stay at low risk.
I never go to war with the Psilons if I can help it. I cozy up with them and start stealing tech from them. Psilons have bad security and they research every tech. Who I almost always end up fighting are the Meklar and the Klackon since they are so expansive and might end up stealing a victory from me if I don't do anything about them.
My go to first iron is hands-down the longboat. being able to move your iron faster back home is a huge win for only 10 iron investment and also is guaranteed escapes from the serpent. Skipping iron armor for silver is pretty good too.
Airstrikes are your friend on some missions. Theres no better feeling than when you run an assassination, all targets are in the same spot and you get a 2nd lance, and you can drop an airstrike on 1 lance and heavily damage/delete it. Its worth the money.
what version of the game is this? never seen 6slots on this weapon befoore?? i play newest 2.2 i think and started out with v1.6 sooo what version is this or have u modded game yourself?? Would be great to know, been playing this game for over 1k hours n never seen this myself???
Thank you! Every other video for finding level 18 items take me to the Shroud where I even need a high resistance level or a level 3 glider with updraft, but this one is so much easier/better/faster!
I just started my run across the bottom from Amerod to the church HQ NE of Savered, along the main road, before it heads north right there, straight up to Klinte. I trailed about 50 robots behind me, including three tanks, and holed up at the church to take them all out. What a great fight. I like putting EMP on my weapons as an augment.
if you like the war game aspect of this game, like as in opposed to diplomacy you might also like the game mechwarrior 5 mercenaries. anyway thought i'd chirp a hello as i am benefitting from your wisdom in this game even though it was posted a while ago!
dont forget to do your hallo halls bro, since you're an archer get that Bone bow, best one in game and dont forget also go to the black mire and get the Eternal Ice Arrow, unlimited arrows just uses mana to fire, and with that bow I told you, you are gonna hit like a truck.
do people actually feel like they're cheesing if they use the environment as cover?? lolol yah, you should just charge face first into a gunfight against a numerically and technologically superior enemy... seems brilliant. 🤣
Great video! Some other tips I find helpful: -Loot the docs house before leaving -For beginning tap skills I do some sort of weapon and lockpick and speech. It helps with early quests and looting. -Be careful wearing faction gear around people. -Save often because the game crashes often -NCR and legion money can be exchanged for caps at the casinos so pick them up if you see them. -Be observant. So much lore and side plots you can miss. I love getting a good look at everything.
I'm heavily reliant on the base game rocket launcher for taking out tanks and harvesters but creating ammo eats steel. Any of my blue rank weapons feel like I'm just pissing into the wind trying to kill them. Spawning hunters just make it an extra nightmare when trying to kill the big boys. I'm assuming the augment to do more damage to the big enemies is extremely useful but only got the bronze one unlocked. Sometimes I run into 3 or 4 tanks/harvesters during early missions which is a death sentence. The game can be so brutal to you with little to no warning.
Hey man. Good video. I'm on day 400 and this is literally the love will I'm at. I finally found a crypt and now I have like 1200 lbs of iron to haul somehow lol Boat time!
to add to the "they dont support stealth" the second you hit ANYTHING, they know your exact location no matter how far you tagged them from. . . like what is even the point of a suppressor then?!?
I went around the galaxy doing the first few quests and just realized we should drink alcohol to +personality before turning them in 😢 Was considering starting from scratch but we’ll see. I just hate seeing good XP go to waste. 😁 Totally aware it’s four years later but thanks for the guide! Just got Outer Worlds this week and have been enjoying it very much so far. Is Fallout the same concept gameplay-wise? I may have to give that a shot if so.
Which personality one gives extra XP? Charm or temper? Neither outright show that they give extra XP, charm just says extra faction rep and less rep loss, due to you being a smooth talker
Really good tips for the game, but man, if you want your video quality to improve, you need to step up your editing a bit. Look around at some of the most successful RU-vid vids that have tips and tricks and they are very well edited such that the content of the video is just the tips. Watching you fumble through menus trying to find things is just painful. Most videos have scripts, and they really help make sure information is given out as concisely as possible.
One Tipp from me: DONT rush the early game. Don’t just run for the 4 crown AK and the 5 crown weapon. Progress naturally. Use different weapons and experiment with your loadout a little. You’ll get plenty of good weapons in the late game. You cheat yourself of a experience.
