Wow! So good ! Thank you Al! I like the analogy of the deep fake/cheap fake- being Satan; how he deceives us by selling us ideas that enslaves us to systems that WILL NOT WORK. Only JESUS🙌🏻
I live in Venezuela and I am certain that what you preach is the true gospel, even though I speak Spanish I always listen to you and translate it through the subtitles, blessings
I think this is exactly what Paul talks about... they were NEVER followers in the first place... also, just my humble opinion, we need to stop using the term "true" repentance or christian. you either are or NOT.
I appreciate the heart behind your response about “true” repentance or believers and not using the wording. Scripture does this though, so we can as well. For instance, Paul spoke of false believers/brothers (Galatians 2:4). This is what’s being communicated when that wording is used. Someone who portrays themselves as a follower but is not truly one. You can even think you are true and not be (Matthew 7:22). This is not foreign to the Bible at all, and is communicated in many ways, even in the Old Testament (Isaiah 29:13). These are false believers with false repentance for one reason or another, and since they are false, we can say they are not “true believers” or do not have “true repentance”. This is no different than saying one has false/not true any number of things, such as humility (Col 2:18), false prophets and messiahs (Mark 13:22), false witnesses vs true (proverbs 12:17, etc.
It's so good to see Jase speak again! Thank you all, @wfr, for doing this live stream so we all can get a chance to see the Power of God work through us all. I love you all, God bless you all❤️🙌🙏🕊
I wish more preachers would preach about the difference between the old covenant and the new covenant like Mike just did! So far only two i have found that do this
Jase if its one thing l remember after l come to our precious Lord Jesus was l remember being attacked from the demons, there were all kind of road blocks to discourage me from speaking of the Lords Truth.God said we will have many tribulations in this world.but be of good courage,be of Good Courage for l have Over Come the World Hallelujah ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I don't think it's just for adults. But an old enough child to understand or at least think they do. Also, on the thought of the lady that mentioned NOT knowing sanctification is a process that takes time. Maybe that is something to mention to ppl at that time. And makes a baptism class understandable. Also, there is no biblical account that people baptized themselves...🤷🏻♀. absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥teaching!
As someone who baptized his daughter while she was at a young child, I agree. The point being made was that baptism isn't for infants; I definitely could have been more clear. I think if you have an awareness of sin in your life and your heart is convicted to follow Christ, then you are a candidate for baptism. Infants obviously can't do that, and for the rest of us, that time of awareness will be different as we mature at different speeds. As for the rest, at WFR most of us make a point to discuss the Holy Spirit indwelling you to help you walk it out (the sanctification process), which is why I added that in at the time she brought it up. Too many people simply ignore the Spirit and His work in our lives post baptism, and that is really a shame.
Also, you are correct about no accounts of people baptizing themselves. However, while it certainly isn't an apples to apples comparison and shouldn't be used to teach that you can baptize yourself, Naaman in 2 Kings 5 is an example one could easily use to make the case for self-baptism in unique situations. His washing was in order to be cleansed, and he was told to go wash himself. Also, under Jewish law and tradition, there were other ceremonial washings/immersions that you did (or could do) on your own, one of which was to be converted (much like baptism is when we are converted). These, along with John's baptism, paved the way for Christian baptism. The passive voice of "be baptized" makes these cases less applicable to Christian baptism, but the model is certainly there to make the case.
Catholic. There are ppl that will be baptized in the heat of the emotional moment. But that is between them and God. What about those that repent on their death bed? Especially that cannot be underwater baptized? The thief on the cross probably was NOT baptized... Jesus told him today you will be with me in paradise...
