Watercolors and Mixed Media paintings, easy How to Draw stuff, and encouragement for artists of any age and skill level. My channel is especially good for beginners and those who say they "wish they could" or "always wanted to draw or paint" but maybe don't have confidence that they are "good enough" to create "real art." I enjoy helping people recognize that their art has value, and that they can and should embrace those creative desires or impulses that ripple deep down in the soul. If that's you, or if you just want to learn some basic and some new techniques while we draw and paint, come join me and let's make some great art!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I do like drawing boats and I find it pretty easy. My goal was to make it look so easy everyone will try drawing some boats and be impressed with their own results. I hope you have fun with it! 🙂🎨🖌
I've been fiddling with this at work, just to get the pattern down, and I noticed that the pattern looks like a dragons eye. This is such a fun pattern!
Thank you for the second chance! I tried to start this and always wanted to get back to this video. This time I hunkered down and went along with you... Very Fun! I can't wait to play with this.
Hello Renee, thank you for watching! I use a mix of brands of watercolor paint, including Winsor & Newton, Daniel Smith, and Holbein. I prefer the tubes instead of pans, but I dispense the paint from the tubes into my paint palette to fill up the wells and work with them from there. I guess it might be no different than using the pans, but its just what I got used to doing. As to what to paint, I have a very large number of reference photos that I've been collecting for the past 25 years and I live in an area where weather permits me to be outdoors as often as I want to be, so I nearly always have a plethora of ideas around me. I just have to pick out what I am in the mood to work on at any given time. And sometimes I get a request for a particular subject from students or friends, so I'm never without options and choices. I do find it is fun and beneficial to work in themes or series for a while, creating multiple compositions on the same subject before moving on to something else. That allows me to get really familiar with my subject and then that in turn allows me to be free to focus on being creative with color and paint techniques.
Thank you! I'm very glad you are enjoying and learning from the video, and it's always great to hear that I'm getting the information out there that is what you want to see!
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I'm working on putting out more drawing tutorials. If you have any subject you would like to see a tutorial on please let me know.
@@beyourownartist mhh, what about drapery of clothing or humans on bikes or sea creatures?👏👏 Edit: I just saw that you already have videos about sea horses and fish, so I‘m going to watch these 😅
@@thehunthasbegun Yes, I do! Also, I already have a how to draw a bicycle (with or without a person riding it) tutorial in process; maybe I will bump it to the top of my list and get it out sooner. Thanks for the input!! Hope you enjoy the fish and seahorse videos, and thanks so much for watching!
