Hey, extraordinary people! I’m Daniel, and I'm a filmmaker, adventurer, musician, and Disney fan. I make videos about Disney history, Disney movies and shows, the Disney parks, adventures I've been on, music videos, and pop culture topics in general such as movies, TV shows, and video games. I'd love for you to join me on my adventures, and I hope you'll always remember that you're extraordinary!
I love how the game represents the actual experience of Disney theme parks. We go through the different lands of adventure and fantasy the same way how Mickey did helping everyone and end off with fireworks over the castle the same way how the blot is destroyed and the castle regenerates.
This game is the reason Oswald is my favorite character. Also I think the reason the mad doctor only sings is because that's how he talked in the original cartoon.
It's actually not a documentary; it's a movie called Walt Before Mickey, and I just made the footage black and white. Also, the character Ub Iwerks is attacking isn't Charles Mintz, it's George Winkler. The movie isn't actually very good, unfortunately, but since there's little to no actual footage of any of the events it depicts, it was a good substitute.

@@ExtraordinaryPeoples Ahh yes, Walt Before Mickey.
I really hope if Epic Mickey 3 becomes a thing, it doesn't go the musical route like the sequel. I feel like the singing takes even more away from the darker tone of the games. Also, ngl I don't want a musical when I play a video game. If I wanted to see and hear Disney characters sing, then I would have watched a Disney movie. I like the Epic Mickey universe because it goes to show you don't have to use the traditional Disney setting and tone with its characters. It solidifies itself as its own world while not making the characters we love OOC. Adding songs and dancing - not only takes away from the darker aspect of the games - but tells me as a player that you don't know how to convey your story uniquely anymore, so you're going to play it safe and easy again. (Which goes against the very concept of Epic Mickey)
I disagree. I think a musical can add to the dark tone, provided the songs and accompanying visuals are appropriately dark. Like the villain's song from "The Princess and The Frog"
@shizuwolf I think you have a point there. If they did the songs like the "Wonderful World of Evil" projector in the sequel, I would be on board. That level was fire, and it had a great chilling atmosphere as you went through the pop-up book. I think that mixed with some new (not reused from previous games) twisted bgm would make the game have the same vibes as the first, maybe even more creepy. It's all about risk, really, and how much and how exactly disney will allow Warren and the team to "get away with" so to speak. Hopefully, Disney would be more flexible with the tone of a triquel, considering they have embraced more darker tones in their other franchises.
When I was around 7, Me and my brothers got a wii for Christmas from my late grandpa. With the wii he got us a copy of epic mickey. The next day I started playing, and was given nightmares for the next week. But for some odd reason, the game still fascinated me, for some reason I kept coming back, and kept getting scared the further I got. I never beat the game till one day when I was 14 and I found the game in a box. I cannot wait till the 24th to drop everything I'm doing to play the remaster. Great vid btw, keep it up!
fun fact i've been BEGGING for that remaster/remake/whatever for ages. the night before before that fated nintendo direct i was talking to my mother about how much i wanted it to be announced but that it was never gonna happen (i told her i was wearing my clown shoes about it). the next day i watch the direct. within a split second i recognized the trailer and i absolutely shrieked lol
I agreed with the majority of your points. As a long time Jurassic fan, this movie hurt me to my core. Though, minor correction about the Therizinosaurus, they do actually portray it as a herbivore, but also very territorial and aggressive, which coupled with the nice camerawork and presentation of that scene alone, makes it one of, if not the best moment of the whole film.
I'm so happy we are getting an Epic Mickey remake, hopefully we get a remake of the second game that goes with the original story it was meant to have.
While Epic Mickey didn't stick with the more gritty aspects of the story, I think it works out pretty well. The one thing of note is the main game kinda downplays the life Oswald was leading prior. You wouldn't really know he considers the animatronic Goofy, Donald and Daisy as friends even though they are robot recreations outside Tales of the Wasteland and some flavor text. for EM2...I think it would of worked better if Ortensia was the one to suggest Oswald give the doc a chance - she'd been stuck as a statue for some time so she might be a bit more naive but get wise to what he's doing sooner than Oswald. Have Oswald still go with it, but once he finds out, he runs off or does something reckless as a result before admitting that his fear is...if the mad doctor can't be redeemed, can he really be redeemed as well?
i think i may have been played Epic Mickey 1 at LEAST 20 times on Nintendo Wii... however i played through Epick Mickey 2 once and never touched nor thought about that game again
This video is surprisingly well edited, possibly editing a little bit of the audio settings would be nice, a more mellow background track, with a more light and upbeat style. I enjoy that you didn't randomly put many super loud parts, great to sleep to.
With current internet horror taking forms similar to older, less visually intensive games, it ended up making old kinda eerie games even creepier, at least to me haha
Jurassic World as a hole is a franchise of movies for a brainlet audience who is amused to eat sht and they´ll say they liked the movie because thats all they have consumed so far, mark consumed and not watched, the degeneracy of the industry as a whole is getting to new grounds, its less expensive and less risky to just get out a movie from something you already know, a brand, than a new IP, Star Wars JW etc etc its horrible.
I was never able to finish the first game because I had to rent it (via RedBox lol) but I remember loving it. It was very wonky, but I learned about so many characters that I never knew about and made me actually use the family Wii. I have such amazing hopes for the future of the this series if it’s put in the right hands ❤️
Maybe someone already commented it or you already know, but there's multiple gameplays footage of Epic Donald that got into the public recently. It shows that the idea of the game most probably was to have Donald and Mickey together, and that Donald would have the power to travel around different times which would let him progress into the game, here's the link for 1 gameplay, you may want to search for the rest: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2PGDndAflow.htmlsi=D4FNC3YJPsfwZDsM
