Questions questions : 1, what is a cock 2, is this car used for selling drugs? You spent 4 minutes talking about going country side to sell drugs and the accessibility using this car 3, do you think sitting in a Range Rover makes you superior than someone sitting in rolls Royce or Lamborghini which is considerably shorter
A family car... Y in the world wud u want it to go above 117mph? ... i used to speed .. owned a golf 5 gti.. top speed 300km/hr... i got married now i cant go above 140km/hr before my wife gives me the eye
These vehicles are massively misunderstood.. Obviously compared to a modern luxury car the ride would not be as good. But when these were new, they were probably the best riding off road vehicle out there. What you fail to demonstrate or mention in your video is that these are incredibly capable off roaders, thanks to the live axle suspension front and rear, very capable traction control, and off course the air suspension. In capable hands these cars will shame most new, and very expensive off road vehicles. Also worth mentioning, a good example, that has been taken care off properly still rides better than most cars, and have no reliability issues. These cars are now 25-30 years old, not many Toyotas or any other brand of car around that old that does not have reliability issues..
I still drive my 2002 P38. 22 yrs later and last year was the worst ..overall, I love the drive but really no reliable from one shop visit to the next. It’s in the shop every 3 months or so… but still cheaper than a new car or a leased one…
I owned a 2001 X5 and it was undoubtably a cheap vehicle. The tailgate was so thin, my brother actually bent it by sitting. Not to mention the defective condensation unit that over pressurized the motor and blew out every seal, roughly 100 miles out of warrantee. Perhaps the X5 is now a better built vehicle. I have owned four BMWs over the years and everyone needed a battery at some point. Buying a 2020 RR Sport Thursday, TD6. Fingers crossed it does not let me down.
Good video great introduction the DB9 I think is the last of the real Astons i am thinking of buying one of the last built around 70k with Aston Warranty I would not have ceramic brakes the cost is madness
P38 4.6 on bulk LPG best comfortable long distance towing work horse You can find for BANGERNOMICS budget motoring 🤠 I have owned & driven G wagons, landcrusser, shoeguns & Navaras but when towing hard they all = money pits !!! Owned 4 l322 s ,4.4 V8 LPG , 3.6 TDV8 & 4.4 TDV8 🤦= rot box , money pits which are a nightmare to work on. Keep going back to a well sorted robust rot free P38 Best BANGERNOMICS workhorse by miles , all the quirky electrics are easy fix when you tune into them, You can work on any part of a P38 yourself AND it was made in Britain 🇬🇧👍
“Wouldn't daily a manual v12”…… guess I’m crazy then… bought my dream v12 manual vantage and it’s my only car, daily duties and probably about 15k per year… it’s an event every time you fire it up and no regrets so far… life is short! a new subscriber :)
The 2001 and 2000 version in blue with crean interior vougue version are really nice cars to drive unfortunately they are almost guaranteed to go wrong and the problem with these cars is that once one thing goes wrong another will go wrong especially the electronics the air suspension the roofing bit on the back the and the cd and satnav system if that goes wrong its a bastard to get it working again properly but while it is working i think these are beautiful cars comfortable and look amazing :)
Great review and test drive - just bought one today same colour and pro pack 118d with flappy paddles - can’t wait to get it!!! Great double act -Yorkshires very own Ant and Dec 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻✊🏼
I drived both, and I chosed to invest 20k in golf GTE with 20 plate. I want sensation, I press button and that's it, not as GTI, but very close, and I forgot when I put petrol in the car, i think in january and I am not joking at all, driving it every day for daily living [gym, work, shopping]. GTE is the best performance car what they made
Oh lads! You are teasing us!🤷🏻😩 I’m getting a 2005,one owner, DB9 in Onyx Black on Tuesday, partly because of the review you did ages ago! More please!👍👏👏👏❤️
What irked me was at the end the Civic Commission never even mentioned a discussion about a long term strategy or solution finding...he was just talking about fixing the rates, what BS people are governing this situation...
Formerly owned 1997 e38. If not already sorted, be ready for a lot to fail around the engine and trans. Do not put on wheels larger than OE 18 Parallel. Lots of mechanical wires to break or rust. It u find 1 still running, it will likely keep running.
As the Mrs allows me a 4 seat convertible alongside my main car, this was my number 3 choice after the c63s vert and v10 M6 vert. Luckily the c63s is stupidly expensive still, theres hardly any M6 verts so i bought the M3 vert and got rid of my v8 6 series. Off the bat i can feel the brakes struggle with the weight (the brakes are weak and were weak on my e46 m3) BUT the turn in , handling and connectedness to the road are magical. with roof down , the sound is simply euphoric. Ive owned quite a few cars with incredible exhausts 6.2l, 5.5l, 4l 2l AMGs but for overall emjoyment this is up there and the cabin isnt over insulated so i can enjoy it with the roof up and windows up. The ride is very busy all the time and its stiff but my kids dont seem to mind so thats a pass from me too. If the engine wasnt amazing enough already, the DCT transmission is incredible for quite an old generation of car. As everyone mentions, keep a warchest of cash for maintenence and note the 700quid road tax. Let that thick oil warm up properly before revving above 3.5k etc Other than that, i think theres going to be further drops to the prices of these as the 2nd hand market is tanking
