My tensioner knock goes away when i was driving it but when i take off it knocks just ike this ima have to get an aisin tensioner put on instead of the shit gates one
I'm replacing mine as I type this, but I was trying to find if I could disconnect the hard line from the rail. Nothing turning up, but guess I'll pry instead

Significantly better. No longer have the warm restart issues (cranking for a while because it's flooded) and also just feels like it runs better overall. My apologies for the late reply.
The Aisin kit has a similar one, I went to dealer for tensioner, OEM lasts for a long time, aftermarket parts nowadays leave a lot to be desired. Spend the extra money, do it right and not worry about it for another 100,000 miles.
Yeah mine is way louder like a cobra mustang. I have the rear cat delete, an H pipe to straight pipe dumped under the rear seat with Flowmaster 10 series mufflers. Mine sounds like a mustang cobra. I also got a marty tune, j mod and cold air intake. So mine is a pretty quick lincoln town car. About to throw a turbo on it here real soon.
Did yours end up being the tensioner or rod knock? Mine does the same thing, started making this sound and idling low. It occurs at about half frequency of rpm which leads me to believe it is timing belt or valvetrain noise.
Where is that leak coming from bro? I can hear the air ticking out of it, like a missed 2-3mm hole where it didnt get welded 360° around a pipe connection.. or a loose slip fit with a clamp.. I dunno but if u play it thru my Pioneer surround sound it's clear as day.. it could just be the water hole drilled in the bottoms of the rear resonators if you were still running with those.
Exactly what noise my bugeye is making.. fuck go worried and thought I was gonna have to rebuild my engine because of a rod knock😩... I can now sleep peacefully

i think my wrx is doing this. at idle it sounds like this or a pulley and above 2500 rpms it seems to go away. is this what yours did aswell??? please reply
@@uneven_haircut1861 Yep. The Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, Marauder, and Town Car all had the 4.6 from the Mustang. It just weighs 4,000 lbs and the only option for the trans is a slow ass automatic 4-speed with grandma gearing. Basically just a 4 doored full frame Mustang.
