Could you show me a close-up of the hook-up ( plow to tractor ) ? I would like to get some type of set up like this for my wheel horse 312-8 .ALSO when throwing the FIRST furrow and getting to the end, TURN AROUND and go the other way ,throwing the NEXT furrow AGAINST the other one you just did. This way you can plow going BOTH WAYS and not going in one direction. Just satin.
The 300 series “horses” have a completely different rear hitch setup than the older Wheel Horse GT’s like this 1964 854. This tractor has a slot hitch and the plow has a tongue that fits into it. Then a hitch pin slides into a hole that is pre drilled through both. The 300 series has a rear upper rockshaft and a cable that runs above the tranny to the mid Mount rockshaft. Then there is a short length of chain to the Brinly hitch adapter which mounts to the back of the transmission where the factory hitch is located. Google pictures of it and you will find lots of detailed information. Regarding plowing direction…if you take time to look at the rest of my over 75 plowing videos, you’ll see that generally I plow as you have described. However, I would plow that small strawberry garden one direction one year, then three years later the other direction. It was the manner that I wanted for that application. Thank you for your interest and input. I have lots of plowing videos, be sure to check the others out…
Thanks! Those are conventional trailer fenders clipped to size and welded to brackets with a stiffening strut in between. The PO did a great job on the fab work-so much so that they almost look factory.
Just bought one. Looks like the bag Tyre was making a millers knot. Should have shown that! Dad showed me, but I forgot how. Few old boys around here still to ask.
I have a very bumpy lawn around a garden I plan on running my new Agri Fab disc over. I don’t have a 1 bottom plow but I traded one away 10+ years ago. Parts of the lawn is so bumpy I have to slow my tractor to a crawl to mow it.
I think it would be cool if you could get barrel of the 10/22 to match up with the barrel of the gatling gun and fire rounds that travel from the 10/22 barrel through the gatling gun barrel.
I’ll have to look around and see if I keep the diagram for what I did. If you plan to still use the PTO circuit with safety switches in tact, it takes some very important but basic changes. You will need a different Key switch because the Magnum engine need a Mag ground-kill post to shut the engine off. If I find that diagram, I’ll make a short video explaining my modifications. The tractor worked great for the 5 years that I owned it!
I'm doing that right now but with a m18 I'm to the wiring part I wish I could find a easy wiring diagram where u hook the m18 wires into the 682 wiring u wouldn't happen to still have one and be nice of enough to share it with me would u thanks
You know you can just respect somones craftsmanship instead of shit talking it. Would like to see your attempt with something like this because I can bet it wont be nothing like this.
@the gun nut 1944 I have a day job but will take your challenge when I move to Florida and retire. Right now I have several cars to restore before I start with fire arms.
