Thanks for making this video. I have a randomly smoking FR691V on a zero turn and I suspect it is the valve guide seal on the #1 cylinder exhaust valve. Wasn't quite sure if I was going to need a valve spring compressor. I didn't realize the spring tension was light enough to compress by hand. I appreciate you sharing the zip tie method as well, I wish I would have thought of that for all the times I borrowed or rented a valve spring compressor.
Good video straight to point, from blue vs yellow nobody really shows how blue tinted they are. It’s morning time just installed a pair in my Ion. Can’t wait to see tonight how good actually work
I just put a set in my Challenger yesterday. I must say I am disappointed in the hype. Not nearly as "white" as what I was expecting. IMO, an expensive mistake/shoulda went LED.
I put those in but they wasn't as wide to see the left and right there were more narrow light I used the Sylvania ultra and it's a wider light and further down the road which I like better
Just put these in my Honda Element. Great upgrade. Cheaper on amazon but when they both burn out the same day gotta hit the parts store. Also cleaned the haze off with McGuire’s two step headlight restore. Well worth it. Not the brightest or the longest distance but really well worth the money. And they come with a 12 month guarantee from the date of purchase. Can confirm they have the “look” of HID. And we’re direct plug and play. Not the top of the line but again well worth the sixty bucks.
Just had my first one burn out. A low beam. I drive about half my miles in the dark. So I don't think its that bad. Replaced with another ZXE. Love the performance and value so far.
thehegt Tr They will burn out before 12 months you be lucky if you get 6 or 7 months out of them it even says on the package they burn out faster them oem they are overpriced
mine were recently restored but still have a slight yellow tinge to them, im wondering if getting these would be worth it still, i have philips crystal vision ultra right now and theyre not much brighter than my previous bulbs, what do u think?
thanks my HID's giving me problems. i want the look of them but i don't trust working with the company i spent on for 200 dollar bulbs to not work 3 days later.
Do the lights really look as blue as on camera, when looking at it in person? I had zXe bulbs in 2 of my cars and they were no whiter than the Silverstars(which aren't even white in the first place). The blue bulb coating really makes you think the bulbs are nicer than they are.
+bmwmsport11 I installed them in my HHR yesterday (installation on an hhr is hell) and I dont feel they are any whiter/bluer than the stock headlights. I didnt do a comparison though as I did them in my driveway during the day.
+happygilmore06 ZXEs are a scam. I put regular Silverstars in my car(has reflector housings rather than projector), they look whiter than regular bulbs and are *sometimes*(like when it's really cold out for the first couple of seconds they're on) blue. Notice I say whiter, not white. The light is still yellow. It's also no brighter than standard bulbs. I did a retrofit on a old pair of projectors on my Subaru and threw in my old ZXEs on one side for comparison to standard. The difference barely there, you'll only notice if you try to. Otherwise they're just like normal bulbs.
Yeah, I would be upset if I didnt get a $15 rebate which got them to the same price if not a few dollars cheaper than the ultras. Just hope they last a decent amount of times as I really didnt read any reviews till AFTER installing which is nothing like me. The pretty packaging got me.
