Excellent video, *thank you!* I was diagnosed with ADHD well into adulthood about 7 years ago, and only heard about metacognition in the last week. I wept with grief over how different my life could have been if I'd only been told about it sooner. But I'm very glad to know about it now! My brain doesn't naturally "do" metacognition, but in the last few years I accidentally hit on some metacognitive techniques while deep-diving into self-improvement tips. What a difference it's made! Keeping a log of when things I was trying to change didn't work out and trying to analyze why (and also what *does* work! : - ) has helped me make huge strides in things I've struggled with my whole life (healthy eating, clutter clearing, punctuality...). I'm excited to see what I can do now that I understand more about the WHY of these amazing improvements and how to apply metacognition more intentionally! Thank you again! 🌈🌱🌿💐🍀💖

This would be OK if it started with the pupils rather than the 'mathematician'. Let the pupils try to solve the problems and then compare their methods - and discuss them in their language (which may not be efficient but is likely to be perfectly adequate). Then, if it's helpful, present a more expert approach.
Loving the channel. You’ve got a new subscriber! If I was you I would look into using PromoSM! It’s a handy tool to have when you’re trying to grow your social media, RU-vid videos, website etc!
Is there any CPD or PowerPoints on metacognition in the classroom? Modelling the thinking for teachers and implementing so that students develop better self regulation skills
Y'all need to burn this program, you ruined my childhood when we didn't reach a certain percentage/points we sat in a quiet classroom forced to read with the mean teacher, while the others kids got to enjoy the incentive programs(free store, air castle jumper, pizza party, movie day). I have AR PTSD.
