Another day in lockdown as panic grips the nation Another day of quarantine and utter isolation Thank God I have a window, thank God I have a view Across the street another window And in that window is you Day 21, I noticed you, you played the clarinet Day 24, you sorta waved and that was how we met Day 29, at 2 am, we both were up too late I poured some wine, you raised a glass like we were on a date A really nice first date You there, across the way, just above the shuttered sushi bar I don't know your name And I don't know who you are But 60 feet has never felt so close So close and yet so far Day 32, I washed my hands, you made a cornish hen Day 36, you sewed a mask, I washed my hands again Day 43, we both ate lunch on windowsills that day We felt the breeze and dreamed of France, a chic outdoor cafe A tres bien cafe You there, across the way, laughing as I play my air guitar I don't know your name, and I don't know who you are But 60 feet has never felt so close So close and yet So far I'm asymptomatic, except for a bad case of FOMO And a slightly distressing, unhealthy obsession with Governor Andrew Cuomo Da-day 48, yeah that's today, I see your beaming face You're holding up a handmade sign that says: My name is Grace Grace, of course your name is Grace You there, across the way, just above the shuttered sushi bar Now I know your name And I want to know who you are But 60 feet has never felt so close So close, and yet So close and yet Hello Grace, my name is Anthony
So unfair! How can such a phenomenal and awards-deserving acting talent and a soothing, mellow, dramatic singing voice be found in such a humble and self-giving artist, a once-in-a-generation gift that keeps giving so abundantly, especially to a despairing world in the grip of so much anguish and misery. BRAVO JAKE!
Amazing! Jake is always brilliant but man.... Mairi-Clare, where have you been? All of Hollywood needs you! What you did with this unasuming piece was truly reamrkable. Thank you both!
Do "Victoria Station." I'd like to hear you say, "I'll chew you up bone-by-bone...." CODA: I only own the old Dramatist's Play Service edition of it, which said the BBC made "The Dwarfs" in 1960. But it isn't on RU-vid, so I found you.
Alas, no! He posted online and I sang along by myself then edited together. Can you imagine getting to actually do this?? Though with zoom lag I would imagine it would difficult. Most collabs like this, if they are done for reals, will be recorded separately and then put together 😄
I thought about it but couldnt make it work as well as I wanted without maybe having the original backing track without vocals / re-writing the core of the song... might give it another go though, when I am finished up with night shifts this week 😁😁
@@mcmaclean7458 i will look forward to your own and original lyrics.. the other girl did it.. and it does turned out so good.. i will wait for your version.
