I has 4 patterns for permutation, (solved, one move away, two moves away and diagonal swap) and i believe 6 patterns of "rings" orientation, so I believe there are 24 patterns total
It's 4^4 but with 1° 4D FOV so cells are flatten in 4th dimension so it can be used as 4x4x4x1, also i like side faces to be close to the Inside cell so the puzzle looks more like physical one
@@TymonHypercubing But it still looks wrong. In the limit you'd have an orthographic projection, but this looks like it's gone past that into some weird unreal zone where the closest edges are shorter than the furthest ones.
@@TymonHypercubing It looks like a bug to me. It could be that the slider you are using lets you to take the FOV out of range into negative numbers or something. The effect is a bit like a "front face culling" bug something like ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GWN-MNHoX-w.html
During the corner orientation step I believe you would have been able to move all 4 corners onto one of the smaller faces and oriented then there instead of misorienting 2 edges to orient the corners on the long face
I don't think any expertise is needed, I've started completely from scratch. You just have to know how you would like the piece to look, then bringing it to 3d render is not that hard, it's mostly drawing lines or simple shapes and settings dimensions of them
