Yes! I put (1), (2), (3) in front of all my video files so they are in order of which to edit. Makes my life a whole lot easier and more organised! This works with any file
If anyone is reordering mp3 files, as long as there aren't too many, I've found something that works for me: Select view, sort by, then choose columns. Select composers. Now use an mp3 tag editor (I used mp3tag and that was easy) and in the order you want, put composers in the alphabetical order (e.g the first song you want in the list composer to be "a", the second "b", so on). If you don't care about composer data (composer name doesn't show up in my car or on my xbox). Then once you've done it in the order you want (and make sure to save the edits) you go back to the folder and you'll see you can choose to order it by composers. Do that and it should be in the right order.
What your friend was talking about was a feature that was available in Windows XP. They removed it in Windows 7, but at least there was a script for it. I could not find any script for Windows 10 or 11. This feature allowed you to organize your pictures in any order within the same folder by just simply dragging and dropping it in the place where you wanted next to what ever picture you wanted without the need of typing or messing with any other settings.
@@erenjegar7779Programers wised up and started charging for this feature through third party apps. It's all about the money. They don't care. They have a monopoly on computer software.
windows xp was the best i remembered when they rid it everything was locked and it remains that way today i think they dont want you to have any free will
Yes, and thank you for mentioning there is a script for Windows 7 - wish I had known that sooner! I'm here today because I was trying to determine for certain that Microsoft's competitor is my only option to once again regain control of my files after a decade! Before stumbling upon the video today I had already been doing what the Video RU-vidr suggested and though probably well intended, I wonder if his friend has since pointed out as others have that one will have to constantly renumber the "prefix' and be unable to sort as need be. I appreciate your mention of Windows 10 & 11 too because you've made my decision to change to a different interface much easier!
Had to do this on an old 2007 Saturn Ion. The whole mirror housing broke off and was just dangling by the cable. Not many places to connect with the mending plate, but I found one good spot and one OK spot and I was able to get it done. I basically had to put screws in the metal of the door just below the mirror housing and screws in the plastic of the front of the mirror housing. Thanks for the video and the idea.
Why do you make this soooo complicated. NO one wants to rename their files. They just want to have File Explore sort like Excel. Just do this: To Enable numerical sorting in File Explorer: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoStrCmpLogical"=- [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoStrCmpLogical"=- To Disable numerical sorting in File Explorer: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoStrCmpLogical"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoStrCmpLogical"=dword:00000001
I mean it has to be fake because im doing everything he is and when I right click on the screen, I dont have any « sort by », I only have a ding sound telling me I cant do shit until I close the window of the classification otions. I feel like nobody knows what I mean but I just want to drag my files and arrange them as I please in my folder. Is it possible?
I don't get why developers are ruining all the good features we had in past.. It is impossible to work with large amount of textures with a specific names in game folders on the latest windows if you're game developer.
actually microsoft for some reason only is programmed to do by name no matter what you pick in most cases this has always been a problem but what I found was to put the option by Date created then you and change ascending or descending
