I love testing and reviewing all kinds of makeup; luxury, high-end, indie, and drugstore. I try to bring pragmatism into my makeup reviews for the average consumer.
Thanks for stopping by my channel, and I hope you stick around.
RU-vid deleted my comment, so I am trying again 👀👀 I wanted to say NM has an O F F S H O O T brand called Spellcast Beauty. They are not handpressed and meant to ship quicker. There are only 2 ppl that I know of who gets PR from them, it might help to check out their playlists to see if NM is the brand for you. Katie @makeup4lossedtime and Dion @dionluvsmakeup (Miss Dion)
I am pretty sure that Terra Moon single shadows are not like the ones in the palette you have! TM was the first indie brand I ever bought singles from and they got me hooked, sparkly, shifty, smooth, yummy! I don't know what they did in that palette. You are not the only person who complained about it!
Have to say, this foundation does not excite me, but it's you...lol Always entertaining and calming at the same time😊 My one wish is to meet you one day and just play with makeup😁
With Notoriously Morbid palettes I spray my brush or use a glitter primer. Their shadows are handmade, not like the factory palettes we normally get even from indie brands.
Yeah Jen Phelps applied too much too, but she never liked this formulation even after trying it several ways. She did end up trying 2 other tirtir cushion foundations. She found one that she really liked but she has dry skin. I was hoping you’d try some cushion foundations because they are so convenient for travel. Thanks for the review.
With so many beautiful foundations around, I would never buy one that seems so difficult to use and is heavy, no matter how good it looks. Thank you for your review. It’s refreshing to see an honest opinion on this foundation. ❤
I purchased Bridal Party just before it was bye bye. It was a horrible palette. I made a 10 seconds video about it if you want to check it out. The shimmers were rock hard and just fell off 😂😂😂 vm.tiktok.com/ZMrQb4BCR/
Loved this video! I am a huge fan of Shop Miss A, they have so many incredible products. I will say that I think they do better in some areas than others, like I have multiple favorites in the complexion and cheek departments but I have yet to find a mascara or primer from them that I enjoy. Love the lip oil sooooo much, definitely a holy grail for me 😁
I think the hush cream blush has an easier to use formula than the venetian romance ones. That blush in demure, the lip oil you tried, and the bb cream are the 3 things that I actually love from them
I just purchased the AOA Venetian romance blush in duchess and I really liked it! I use it with a more dense brush and I do tend to prefer more matte liquid/cream blush formulas. I also bought that foundation but haven’t tried it yet, it I’m more excited now!
hi sorry, I apologize for being absent here for a bit, I had the rug pulled out from under me recently. I didn’t want you to think I left. I will be back soon ❤
I tried NM for the first time this year when I ordered the Bog Witch palette. I placed the order in February and didn't get the palette until May. The matte ivory shadow you said was crumbling after you touched it? It was totally destroyed and had exploded all over my palette when it arrived! They said they could send me a replacement single shadow or I could return the palette and they would send me another one. I didn't want to wait that long again, so I opted for the replacement single and cleaned up the palette the best I could. I find the mattes to be very soft and thin, but I haven't had a chance yet to try the palette on my eyes (been super busy as we moved), so we'll see.
After trying indie brand eyeshadows I will never purchase a palette in Sephora or Ulta ever again. The ONLY palettes I will or have purchased from Sephora/Ulta since winter of 2021 is Natasha Denona, Danessa Myricks, and ABH formula of the past 2-3 palettes. I have now been spoiled to death with Ensley Reign, Shine by SD singles, Odens eye, Electrum, Terramoons, Devinah and Clionadh. Now I want to try Nomad, BBB, Unearthly, simply posh, Sydney grace, Cosmic beauty/brushes and some others!!
Absolutely agree! I bought a few Nomad palettes but haven't tried them yet. Now that you mention it, I've wanted to try Electrum and Simply Posh. How's the Electrum formula?
@@KariMeghan I like the Electrum formula but I don’t care for the super flakey ones she has. I have a several different formulas from electrum and I love the metallic and the multi chromes but the flakeys are hard to work with and so I no longer buy those types
Omg I had the SAME thought process about the cooltrals palette 😂 I'm TERRIFIED of blues! I'd love to see you make them more easier to approach looking forward to seeing what u do!!❤
That’s unfortunate about Notoriously Morbid. I’ve almost purchased from them a few times, and I’m glad now that I never did. Also, I was surprised when you said Pink Crush Cosmetics. Last I heard they were shutting down I thought last year. They had all of their palettes heavily discounted. I have two of their palettes, and they are alright. Definitely not my favorites.
Not sure how I found them, but I'm pretty sure I purchased those palettes on Etsy. So, they're at least operating a store front there. Don't think I'll be blown away by their quality, but I've been surprised before.
@@KariMeghan I found that the green matte shades had no pigment basically, the darker mattes were ultra pigmented though but not in a good way for me... They ended up under my eyes. Sadly I only like one of the shimmers, I won't wear shimmers that stain.
I have an order from march im waiting on. Phew I know they have had some big changes and the owner had a big health problem and major surgery. Hopefully turn around time picks up soon as she recovers and the changes start kicking in.
I have a lot of NM palettes and none of them are like this. I learned about them from Cara at Beauty and the Frizz, she also goes over in detail how she uses their formula and it was helpful.
Omg I’m sorry I’ve never had this experience! I got the Bog Witch as well and I can’t find it. Now I’m nervous ! My fav ones I have is their Star Wars light side and the seasonal themed ones.
I have the Rusted Essence too and it’s not like that. I know they hand press in house so maybe they didn’t get the binder right? Who knows they sure have been coming out with new stuff , fragrances and car fresheners ( I love those!) and I know they said they are releasing stuff to raise money to pay employees and move to a new location after closing the physical store. I’d email customer service , any time I’ve had to they are always helpful but you have to start on their site , I think. That’s the only palettes I have that you bought. I know Cara says to pat on then lightly blend and the shimmers to pat and swipe and press. I do remember they aren’t known for swatching very well, so I’m guessing their swatches are over a base and applied using a brush.
😳 I just ordered a few palettes from them. I signed the agreement that the turn around time is 20 to 30 days. On day 30 I will be contacting them. I’m not playing this mess again waiting 12 weeks for my products. The shipping delay is what is going to hurt Notoriously Morbid
