Please tell them about "Community Refrigerators" too...that will help them with food & other things too...I've read that they are in every community & some are stocked by malls & other local shops that have overstock or items that haven't sold & some say they are stocked by the members of the community, where they have things they don't need, they place them in the refrigerators for free.
Blessed is he who considers the poor.The Lord will deliver him in times of trouble.Every community has a food bank. Find yours, and help, give, donate.God will reward you. He will look after you when you have compassion for the poor and needy.
But if i wasn't still working at 73 i would be very hungry. prices in the grocery store rise all the time because of the worthless millinneal demands. And they get it. Only care is price of gas. I have to pay those ever rising prices. No one cares, not about us seniors.

I just left the USA on 11-2-2021, because USA is too deadly and expensive. God is in charge, and he will deal with all of us. GOD has the weapons of mass destruction. our arms are too short to box with God. What about our cities? They will house the foreigners, but allow us to die on the streets.They owe us $2,000 per month since January 2020! We are owed the 40 acres and a mule, yet USA will take our tax money, and help other countries, and you know they are stealing some of that money! War enriches many greedy demons. So sad happens in uk Canada Germany parts of the world so far sad all around the world getting hit lot of seniors worked hard some husband looked after but skill for work now harder need computers cell phones some old ones don’t use sad world out there for seniors unless got extra money a month to have fun buy food live a life was never like that before old folk were looked after in future they say could be no pensions 500 per month in Canada if you worked paid into other pension get 500 but can’t rent for that 1600 hundred month apptments now need more low income home for folk as retire folk are afraid to spend welcome to retirement how sad is that work hard ready to enjoy but folk struggle to get by unless you have works pension god help everyone
In my country old people get their pension based on their wages while active and their working years. Pensioners who worked full time their whole life actually make alright pension payments. People who worked part-time a lot or did not work enough years get less. Those are the people bitching about being poor. They also had to work less years than we do. For older generations it is common to retire at age 50-55 (i will have to work til 65 at least) and they will live longer too so some may receive pensions for over 30 years! I have no pity for them.
That should never happen in this country elderly people sick senior citizens going hungry there is no reason for that at all what does that say about the government in this country
Im retired in Danbury, CT. Living on a fixed income, is always challenging. I always go over budget. Let's face it, necessity, is the mother of invention.We now get, an extra amount of food stamps at the end of every month, and then. , food stamps on the first. It's so helpful.
What about housing for cancer disabled 72 year old single male. Trying for SEC 8 for 3 1/2 years and nada. Sad and pitiful situation for elderly. Plenty of food no housing. SAD SAD SAD, scammers who know system get their entire generations of families flourishing in every aspect of materialism. SAD SAD SAD!

Not sure where you are running into all these poor seniors. I live in a small town in western Nebraska and am surrounded by senior retirees. They are all rich. One couple in back of me just vacationed in Italy. In 2020 they are going to Australia. I'm a senior myself and not as rich as my neighbors. I do have a nice surplus of money every month and paid the house off in 2001. See no reason why any senior boomer should be poor.
Seems you live in a well off town. Go to a town that is run mostly with poverty, and that won't be the case. Find out that there are seniors without money as every generation has a number of people not well off to travel.
I have lived on ssi for 22 years and it is hell to live on so little. I feel like I can't afford to live anymore. Poverty just keeps you stuck. And social workers just tell you to hang in there. I see no point in suffering like this.
If this were children their would be a public outrage many of these senior spend their income on meds utilities rent transport to and from doctors appointment many fall in category of having to much food stamps it only takes having a couple bucks over what is designated poverty yet these kid girls get everything for shame they could have avoided their situation with birth control ageing and illness are not they get just because their are cute disgusting

This is sooooo sad,,,Our Lack of concern in the Government for low income people is a real hardship for those of us who struggle to live,,,,to survive,,,have a place to live,,food,,medical care..What and why do we have to do do without means to survive? It adds to my depression..anxiety,panic disorder, PTSD and bells palsy. social anxiety.,Bipolar ....these are not health issues Ive singed up for,,,its genetic back issues,,proven by MRIs and X-rays .issues from past mental and physical abuse and verbal abuse. These are not health issues I planned to have,,,I have to work part time,,,I can not live on a little over 500.00 a month,,and have worked on,,April 9th 2019 will be 45 years I have worked,,,where is the money Ive paid in for 45 years,,,? There are so many day I ask myself,,is it worth it,,because the pain,,the mental issues are not going to get better,,my income is gettting worse,,it is just too over whelming
