I lived there for 18 months 22 years ago….we bought a brand new house in isles of Weston…couldn’t wait to move from there..shopping is awful…you need to drive 15-20 minutes to get to a main access road just to leave Weston. Boca town center mall is quite a distance … to get to Marshall’s or Ross or TJ Maxx…quite a drive….boring city.
In August 2022, I paid 685k with a 4.375 interest rate for my second property in San Diego. The property is currently worth $895k. I've already increased my ownership by over 30% in less than two years. There's no need for me to sell because I'm making over 90k in rental income from my two ADU studios, which pays my mortgage each month. In addition, my rate is ridiculously low, which I view as a benefit.

I think American Economy is falling apart, when Governments know you're struggling and Raise taxes and insurance on you, that tells me my government is struggling themselves and are mis spending our money, especially when giving billions to two wars and inviting Millions of Illegal Migrants that will have to be fed, housed and cared for. I think it's time retired people really consider moving outside of America, especially if you plan to buy Cash. America is the New Slave Trade.
I agree about moving to Fla, It's already too crowded and expensive. People that can't afford it are moving here because they can get credit in an inflated market just like before 2008 but there will be another bust and many will lose their homes. People from up north accustomed to paying New York and California prices with NY wages are paying inflated prices, then they find out Fla wages aren't as high and they can't keep up. It is the same in Tennessee, people from up north are moving in having bidding wars over house prices. The houses there have doubled in price in 5 years. Wages there are 30% of what NY and Ca pay.
Perhaps if I listen to you I should move to California, NewYork or worse Chicago. My education and common sense says I'll take Florida over any of the states and city I mentioned hands down to include Washington state and D.C.🗽⚖
HOAs and condo associations are not as crazy in the Midwest, but they are still prevalent and can be annoying. The HOAS are Florida is ridiculous. The whole you have to pay $800 a month and can't even paint your door a color you like is crazy.

Perhaps everything above the 2nd or 3rd floors. T he building would be out of commission for a period of time if it is beach front. Many of the latest buildings have windows rated to 200 MPH winds.
That’s true it’s irritable , when things happens insurance companies brings reasons .. but in that case better to use adjuster so you don’t loose your mental peace in it
What’s happening is Floridians are sick of insurance companies not holding their end of the contract. They take your money and leave town! I’m going to pay my house off and pay myself the insurance premiums I would normally pay them. Reason? I’m paying them super high premiums, I’m taking 100% of the risk (they never pay, or always find a way to devalue the claim) and I have always had to fix the damage myself, so….why do I need them???? I don’t!
Hi I saw couple videos and found it informative but I was looking get more info on school with good ratings in Broward county and hoping to find school with more south Asian/ India kids. Weston school rating didn’t look that great but I might be wrong. Any info will be greatly appreciated on good school community and affordability. Thanks
