The IJN shows almost late WW2 American AA here, which is... highly overexaggerated. Japanese AA shot down _one_ single US plane during the Battle of Midway.
If only they understood that their experience would be very needed later on. The lack of experience in the IJN in terms of pilots and sailors made a huge difference
The Pantorans believe the Talz to be inferior and needing their rule. Basically non humanoid hatred, because they have fur and four eyes and don’t seem human at all like the Pantorans
Plo Koon- Loyal to the code but knew of the flaws Plo Koon- Loyal to the Living Force, not the Jedi View of the Force Plo Koon- A Jedi mindset but still compassionate Plo Koon- The Perfect Jedi
@@ussenterprise_usa02 just look up what the Japanese navy and army did in China Was so bad the lead naz* officer in China complained to moustache man about how brutal they were
If there's one thing that Clone Wars made me appreciate, it's Plo Koon's characterization. Wise and calm, a powerful warrior, inclined to treat his soldiers with loyalty and respect (almost with affection, I would say) and endowed with a certain biting irony. Now this is a Jedi as the Order should be. It's a shame that it didn't have more space: it would have been better to have taken away a few episodes from Anakin and Obi Wan, to give them to Plo and Ahsoka, in order to better understand the bond between the two and explore how a different master would have reacted to the trial against the padawan.
PloKoon was said to be one of the few who had rivaled Yoda in a lightsaber dual, and fewer to use a weird light version of force Lightning(unpopular due to the sith similarity.) had he not been on a ship when 66 happened pretty sure he’d be like yoda and go into hiding and training escaped padawans, he truly was one of the best. 😞
I hope Hiryu will be found in the future. She, Soryu are the last two carrier that still need to be found. Two other ships lost at Midway that not been found yet are the Mogami class cruiser Mikuma and the destroyer USS Hammann which was torpedoed by the submarine I-168 while attempting to save USS Yorktown.
Tbh those and rms naronic are some of the ships I’d love to be discovered and see the wrecks of the most And I’d love for the us navy to one day post footage of USS America’s wreck
2:35 That's actually a very obscure reference of what happened in the Pacific during WW2. Taking "souvenirs" of japanese corpses (being fingers, teeth or even heads and skulls) at certain point was common practice.
The crews and officers of the carriers were scattered all over the pacific after the battle. They did this to keep the news of the defeat from reaching the home islands. Most of them died in combat.
Anakin cant get a signal to the surface and Obi-wan sends 2 Clones off by themselves to get help. Me: Ummmm Kenobi: You JUST said that these things remain alive after they have been shot up. Also the place is a BLOODY maze, so please explain.... WHY in the world would you send 2 clones back to the surface when you know they will completely be incapable of defending themselves if they run into another Geonosian group, which they undoubtedly will? They have no chance of defending themselves and there's no way they will be able to navigate themselves back to the top after what you just established. Even as kid I thought that was a stupid choice to make. Yes they have limited options, but they were better off just staying together or having a skilled Jedi go with them, instead the squad just lost to other guys.... Kenobi.....your stupid...
"It's always a shocker when one of your own betrays you. We clones had a similar situation a couple years back. One of our men, Slick, turned against us. He was working with the enemy. Said he loved his brothers, but he was selling information to Ventress and sabotaging our supplies… doing things that could end up getting a lot of those brothers killed. Funny way of showing love, if you ask me." - Commander Cody in the Novel "Dark Disciple"
