that would be too much (MAYBE a 7700K if you already have a Z270). I had a i3-8350K (4C) @ 5.0GHz and it was still not as powerful as the 6C i5-8400 @ 3.8GHz
depends on what resolution/framerate you're targeting. I pushed the 2600 to 4.1GHz and was still bottlenecked at points, although still getting a decent framerate (at 1440p). At 1080p its definitely gonna bottleneck, but if you only have a 144hz monitor like I do, anything above that I can't see anyway...If you get a rx 6600 xt, I would upgrade to a b450 or b550 (super cheap) and upgrade the cpu to get the best results.
@@gustavolobo2001 Hey I maybe late, but I was in the same situation as you until last yr, in my case, not sure if the game or the gpu was bottlenecking but it made a big difference, like the dude said, up that cpu first, in my case, got an hp with 8700, switch them and sold that hp with 8400, but only if you can find someone ready to buy the 8400 unit tho XD, if not, you might as well get new gen cpu.
I started at 1.25v, but might have bumbed it up to 1.3v. I had an almost stable 4.2GHz. MB is in a box right now, but I'm gonna make a system out it, so I can let you know for sure.
The cpu supports the PL2, just depends on your motherboard. Whatever MB maker you have look up if it supports it and how to go into the BIOS (holding Del or F1 usually on startup), and find that setting.
hi i have this spec too but i have a question as you can see cpu usage don't go more than 80% and it'll bottleneck the gpu is it normal? why can't cpu go up to 100% usage?
Hey. Nice vid. Can you make a vid about Warzone , or Escape from tarkov if you have that. I could see some apex legend tho! Apex would be fire, but if you do these pls try it on Low quality cuz of the processor :D
Don't have EFT, but I could def put up a warzone, maybe an Apex video if I can. I'll put on lower settings, trying for max fps and trying to push the cpu to its breaking point...have to put it back on my testbench first...
DAAAM ma stock cooler whenever i push my R5 2600 to 4 GHZ, it gets more than 80 degrees, it seems like the cooler you are using is cool, IS IT ? I have just sold my 8G RX 480, and I will get a RX 6600
Forgot to state that it was done on an open test bench, but yes the stock cooler (eventhough AMDs are better than intel), but a $30 tower cooler is so much better...RX 6600 is great value right now. Check out the cooler I listed in the video. I have 2 of those, one on a r5 2600 and an i-5 11400 (11400 can do 100W with the power limits disabled).
@@DNG99911 i have the "22.10.20-220524a-380149C-AMD-Software-PRO-Edition" or "22.Q2" (the most recent on AMD Adrenalin) and the error message says that i have older drivers than the requested ones (error FH301). In game, I often have fps drops that I don't have on other games (or even other forza)
With the power limits disabled on the CPU it's about ~350W peak. (while gaming). I have 650W EVGA 80+ gold PSU on this system. Yeah that will good for this cpu/gpu combo.
@@pietrobonaldoAs long as your graphics card can handle it, it's basically the same performance at every detail level. Average 59 or 60, 1% low ~45, and occasional one or 2 second drops (usually in the same locations on the map). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UHQ8ndzYAgk.html
Nice. Are you running the 11400 at PL2 (power level 2) with a decent cooler? If you're playing at 1440p 144hz or 4K60, I've noticed my 3070 and 2080 edging closer and even getting to ~7950MB/8192MB. (God of War @ 4K and Halo Infinite @ 1440p are 2 off of the top of my head). At 1080p shouldn't be a problem. Granted I've been trying to get a 3080 for 16 months now...I've given up though.
No, gave the RX 580 to my nephew. still have a 11400/Z590, 9600KF/Z370, 10700KF, GTX 1650 Super, RX 6600, RTX 2080, and RTX 3070...along with my B550/5900X.
Bro I have a friend and he have the same configuration (9600KF Stock and Palit 2080). But he only gets around 100 FPS (in Warzone at High settings and 1080p) and his GPU Utilization is at 50-60%. Thats not only in Warzone.. Also in Tarkov his GPU utilization is very low also his FPS. But it doesnt seem like a CPU bottleneck because I testet his components on a R9 3900X and on a i7-8700K and it shows the same results. Do you know what the problem is? In Benchmarks the CPU and the GPU results are very good (better than average) but in games the Utilization is very low.. I would be very happy for help. Greetings from Berlin.
I was running the 9600KF @ 4.8GHz OC. Stock is 4.3GHz I believe. I was also using 2x8GB 3200 MHz (OC) and a Z370 MB. What are the other specs on that machine? MB chipset, RAM speed. Also what is the CPU utilization % average?
@@DNG99911 He uses a Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon from MSI. RAM is Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 3200MHZ C16. The CPU Utilization is about 90% in Warzone. But in tarkov for example the cpu Utilization is not so high..
@@abduldreisechs3346 have they ever tried to OC it? My 9600KF had a lot of headroom. I got it up to a stable 5.1GHz (95% stable 5.2GHz), but run it at 5.0GHz easily with a 120mm AIO cooler.
@@DNG99911 yes he tried but he dont really know how to overclock good. He tried it at 5 GHZ with AVX Offset on - 3 but the temperatures and results wasnt really much better. Can you tell me your OC settings? I think with the right OC settings he can reach better results. He also have a good Aio (Asus strux LC240). What voltage did you take and what were the other settings like AVX Offset or CPU Loadline-Calibration?
@@abduldreisechs3346 I probably tried tweaking like 20 different settings, but I know I have the voltage @ 1.30V. You also need to check the CPU fan curve in the bios and make sure it's set high enough to take the higher wattage and temps. I have my 100% @ 65°C.
Can you play Rust on your pc with the graphics in the middle please, I would like to see if it goes better than with Ryzen 7 2700x and RX 580 8GB If you don't want to buy, you have a pirated version that you can download for free and do the test there
I have Rust and I would be happy to, if I still owned either one. Sold both for my 5900x/3070 build. I had a 3700x OC'd to 4.4GHz, and it destroys the 10600K (even at 5.0GHz) in everything but gaming. For higher FPS gaming the 10600K (especially OC'd to ~5.0GHz) is definitely better than the 2700x.
Yeah it's really good, especially at it's price point. Not a big fan of ASUS's bios UI, but that's a minor nitpick. Good VRM, plenty of fan headers, ARGB and RGB headers, PCI-E 4.0.

Bro I have the same graphic card rtx 2080 amp with an amd r 7 2700 (8 cores 16 thread) and 16 gb ram 2133 mhz all at stock but I can get max of 700 fps blank world creative and can't get stable 200 fps in real game on performance mode ... Rip 240 hz monitor 😭
What's your RAM speed? What are your usage numbers? GPU %, CPU %. The 2080 is probably a little more powerful than the 3060 because of the difference in memory bandwidth. 2080 has a 256 bit bus and 3060 has a 192 bit bus (i believe).
The front panel USB 3.X connection is thankfully next to the main power connection, but the front panel audio, fan connectors, USB 2.0 headers (which i'm not using) and ARGB headers are at the bottom...There is about a cm or so clearance from the top to the fans and the board itself. With 120mm fans there is plenty of room (2 or 3cm) behind them for the cables, but no so much with 140mm fans. Love the case but that is one small change I would make...shift the whole motherboard placement up a cm or 2...
Bottleneck usually refers to the CPU holding back the graphics card. The 10600K can support much more powerful video cards. I used it with my RTX 2080 with no problem.
