RC's that are fun but are made in more of a redneck way. Lots of home made or pieced together vehicles to have fun. None of these or future really fit in with true scale or competition. But they sure are fun!!
Im on the wifes utube but we Love your video's. On circles for tires cut the top off a bean can to use as a cutter or a cheap cookie cutter for the doller store. Im a 25 year welder and fab guy myself thats getting into rc more and love your channel.
Very good video as always and very good work, I love how that truck with trailer is turning out, in my case I have to do more as you say, than when a problem appears, look for a solution and continue, because sometimes I get frustrated by not finding measurements of the replica that I want to make or when something doesn't turn out the way I wanted and I spend some time without manufacturing or advancing since I usually demand a lot from myself and I'm only a welder who learned thanks to RU-vid videos and practice, a hug friend and keep it up 👍😊💪😜👋
Figure out how big of a table you want, then just hit up metal fabrication shops and ask if they have any fall off/unused plate in the dimensions you want left over from one of their bigger jobs. 1/4 or 1/2 inch plate would give you a good flat surface to work on and with the small amount of welding you do it won't warp the plate. That's actually how I built an engine stand, two pieces of round pipe and a good sized chunk of 1" thick plate were scrap or fall off from other jobs they had, think all of it was only $40. They won't let you dig through a scrap bin, but if you give them something specific they will be more likely to help.
Looks sweet I've use the same idea for a hitch but instead of using two end links I just bolt the ball insert to the truck an just clip the end link on it makes it easier to attach an unattach
Right on Mr. Undertaker! Dude that turned out super rad ! I may not comment on them all but I've seen all your episodes, and Sir I must tell you that apparently even the teacher can still learn! Your builds are becoming more refined I believe! Great job And thank you Mr .Waffles I mean Undertaker.
Killer job man! Love your creativity and honesty in these videos. This honestly makes me want to get all my tools and build a custom truck similar to this.
This is perfect mate 🤘 I run an old 40 series Ute tub for my camp trailer. Only suggestion I have is to cut the front wheel arch to bring it up to the scrub bar abit more. That is unless you have flairs for it 😅 either way this is still turning out to be a favourite for me ( not biased at all 😉)
In regards to knock-off brands, ever have problems with any of them? Stripped gears, broken shafts, poor machine work, etc.? Or just use the machine and not beat the piss out of it and you're fine?
I have had a few issues for sure and I am very hard on them. I have had to finess a few gear meshing issues with a few axles, but that is why I take them all apart before I run them. But I haven't had as many issues as a lot of people think with the knock off stuff. I have a set of axles in one for over a year now and have never broken anything in them, and I'm not easy on them.
@@WafflesRC-pb4nt Noted. Thanks man. Been into r/c for decades, but never really looked into making one. With the items available today, its not difficult. I mean, $80 for a brushless/esc combo? $35 for a solid servo? $80 for a seven channel radio? It can be really easy to do if you're already "in" it. To boot, I've got the TIG and shop space for it. Thanks again.
@notsure9033 oh now I'm jealous because I think a tig would be perfect for these. I'll get one one of these days and then the cages I make will be soooo much better!!!
I've had my eye on that one, trust me. I use a harbor freight mig right now and I love that thing. I can build my RCs with it and build bumpers for my big trucks. I bet that tig is just as good.
i reckon a second/double brush bar coming off that bumper corner, running up along side the existing bars, following it down the side steps and back under. Would finish it off, look beefier, and most importantly, heavier in the front.. Some cattle ranch utes have them.. Just a thought. :) Love the content. A proud australian here...
